You're supposed to "CLICK" with Miyako in the sense of this abandoned girl who sought comfort from someone ... and then lost it. She's unstable. Fragile. [s]Emo[/s]...tional. While it is BEYOND FUCKING CREEPY (I feel weird having multiple texts in a row from a person ...), it fits Miyako's personality.
Kei, however, is still pretty sad; you have that tried-and-true "friend but fell in love with and then stuck in friend zone for fucking ever" character. That said, I don't really ... well, like Kei. Nor do I like her ending from the latter tales (which doesn't look like it'll make it in Melodies). Nor do I like anything about her except there's Chihiro as her sister.
I suppose the part of Kei that annoyed me was her trying to fuck with the two like that. It's just a bit ... daytime soapish? Catty? Dunno the word here but, seriously, that's pretty messed up. Then again, it WAS a creepy amount of messages but ... whatever.
I guess I just felt more in-touch with Miyako than Kei. Even if it was for someone I loved and wanted to steal from someone else, I sincerely doubt I'd step in and try to fuck up their relationship in the off-chance that MAYBE they'd return feelings. Meh. And I usually root for the childhood friend romance thing.
