A question you guys, since you guys are more into them then I am. What do you think is a good length of a VN? I'm mostly asking, because I've decided that if I don't get into the video game course this year, I'm gonna spend the upcoming year trying to make a game on my own and I thought a VN kind of game would be a "easy" start.

Depends! lists "short" as 2-10 hours. You can do a lot in two hours, though!

For reference, "Very Long" is >50h.

Forgive me for being a necromancer, but I feel like I had to post this news here (as this is one of the two place where I found narcissu)

For the 10th anniversary, Sekai Project (the developer for narcissu in Steam) is partnering with Stage-nana (the series creator) and raising fund in to develop a new title containing 4 side stories, 2 of which are new.

$60 will give me most thing I want in digital, and I will need $200 (with transport cost) to have everything I want in physical.. But it is narcissu... This is really a hard choice ~"~

<3 I LOVE YOU FOR POSTING THIS! Day 1 I was like the 4th $100 backer. I dunno why I didn't even think of posting this here.

The sad thing is, I have the sinking suspicion that I already have the same fanbook, mininovel, and soundtrack cd they are offering for the tier. But I still want the physical copies of all 4 games (even though I already have the copy for 1&2).

(I'm a buddy with one of the translators and for doing the skin for his blog when Narcissu 2 was first released pre-Steam he repaid me with these materials <33 )

XD Agilis confirmed the materials are different. Some similarities and the soundtrack he's still trying to get something more complete. I'm so excited again!

So all the goodies are different? Or just the fan book? (I doubt the author would write yet another mini novel if he is going to release a VN?)
I dunno, I am still struggling between the $60 choice and $180 choice (200 with shipping) before registering in Kickstarter...

So the old mini novel was Himeko's extra chapter (the one in n3)? Didn't dig deep about narcissu's goodies so I am not sure what I had missed.
