Flippo's
Something similar to pogs.
Collectible cardboard thingies (they came in bags of potato chips) with pictures of the looney tunes on 'em.

Don't forget the Tamagotchi.
Mine drowned in the laundromat. (R.I.P. Nistel) T_T

When I was a kid, we had:

* Power Rangers/Ninja Turtles stage

* Pogs stage

* Yo-yo stage

* Pokemon/Digimon stage

* Burger King/KFC Pokemon Toys and stuffed animals stage

* Tamagotchi/Digimon stage
(^ the brick-shaped, Tamagotchi-like Digimon toys)

* Digimon stage
(^ this time, the step counter-like Digimon toys)

* TY Beanie Babies stage

* Crazy Bones stage

Oh!, and paper wasps, can't forget about those -_-;;

Pokémon cards and just general Pokémon anything ruled the world for many years, especially at my school.

Tamagotchi's were big things, and incredibly annoying as well.

Oh, there was this fad of yo-yos coming back into fashion, but not just normal yo-yos but ones with gears and pegs and they'd be spinning for ages before they'd destroy your fingers and stuff like that.

*looks up Crazy Bones*

Ooh. I don't remember them at all, but a bit of googling reveals them to be rather cute and collectible. I can see how that could have spread around. :)

I couldn't get a yo-yo back up if it had a motor that did it for me. -_-;; (And iirc some of them did, too.)

Pokemon and NeoPets. Yes. My sister was crazy about NeoPets, and we were both into Pokemon for a while.

But Pogs... man.

Oh man NeoPets!

My original group of online friends and I were really into Neopets for a while. I remember sneaking online at 2am so I could buy things out of the shops for my stores before they sold out.
