Art Thread?
I'm not sure if there's an art thread in this board, since I'm still new here, so feel free to lock this. I know there's a random image thread, though I'm not sure that would count.
Anyone up for discussing drawing, photography, and other forms of visual art?

My most recent sketch (clicky the thumbnail for full view):
Its Risa-chan from my RMXP game, The Enemy Within. Doing her blacksmithy stuff.
There's some other stuff on my photobucket, but most of my sketches and wallpapers are more easily accessed from my blog. Which you can visit by clicking the link on my siggy, if you're bothered...
EDIT: Wahh...photobuckets idea of a 'thumbnail' is silly. It turned out so BIG! If you guys want me to spoilerize this, please say so...

Wait, is this for discussion of self-produced art, or fine art in general?
Because I was totally going to brag like a slut about how I'm putting together my list of art to visit while in NYC. I'm really sad the two modernist pieces I'd like to see (Van Gogh's Starry Night and Dali's Persistence of Memory) are both currently in Europe. ;__;
I reeeeally want to make it up to the Cloisters to see the Les Tres Riches Heures du Duc de Berry and the Unicorn Tapestries. But we otherwise have no reason to trek all the fuck the way up to Inwood/Fort Tryon, and my fiance is all like "Blah medieval art is boring blah" which begs the question of why I put up with him.
(psst, Maxine, we've discussed Les Tres Riches before. Remember? It's all the peasants in front of the castles and shit. Just google it and you'll be like "Oh yeah! That thing!")

Kinokokao: It could be both, really. Whether it's your own or you want to discuss others...
Ooh. =O Are you going to visit MOMA? I went there a couple of years ago. It was alright, but my mom took forever appreciating all the art there so I eventually got bored. I guess I prefer to stare at art on my computer. haha.

@Rain
I dunno, I don't care for modern art. If I was to visit a modern art museum, I think it'd be the Guggenheim because then it's a two-birds/one stone kind of thing.
I don't care for anything modern. Like, right after the French Revolution I'm all like "WAH BORED. BACK TO CASTLES YAY!" and stuff.
Anyway. ^__^; The Met for sure, but we're going to be avoiding touristy things while we're there. It's primarily a "let's scope this place out for relocation" trip. Although I am making time to check out Book Off (Japanese used bookstore) and Librairie de Français (French bookstore).
