[spoiler]I don't get the hate for her voice. It's not ridiculous high pitched (as much as I love Kugimiya Rie, some of her roles sound like helium was needed) or anything. She has some diversity in her vocals.

Then again, I also liked her voice prior to her role as Haruhi.

THAT said, her voice in that video is a little obnoxious and I can't place why.

Oh and I've pretty much accepted every awesome voice actress looks atrocious so anything average / above average is "WOW OMG" reaction.

She's nothing special in looks (or voice) though, but nothing terrible.[/spoiler]

I've never seen Haruhi, but I did watch two episodes of Lucky Star before I got bored of it. I didn't mind the cartoony voice she did because it's not a serious show, etc. Then I saw that clip, and was all, "Oh ish, she wasn't doing a voice, she really talks like that." Maybe you get more used to high-pitch when you watch a lot of anime, maybe. It's totally new to me, though.

EDIT: Sorry about the quality, btw. All the clips of that show on youtube are that bad, however. That's the best I could find...

EDITII: Also, my attitude is not so much "hate" as it is "amazed and a little confused."

Nah, was just saying judging her looks from that video is a bit "huh?" She really isn't amazingly hot though but she's not terrible looking. That definitely came out stronger than I meant it though T.T

And I guess I was misleading; not saying you hate on her voice or anything but she definitely gets a lot of flak and I never did get it. Mostly people bitching about her sudden popularity from Haruhi (and the amount of hate THAT gets too) I suppose. I dunno.

That clip she does not sound like Konata (or Haruhi) at all to me. Personally, I think she has a pretty good singing voice that does a pretty good range for most of her songs. Her voice isn't terrible for most anime but she is typecasted a bit. I've heard terrible voices and I wouldn't really classify hers as one of those. Overrated, yeah, but not something terrible.

But that's pretty much up to the individual so ... yeah.

Endless Eight arc revolves around the same two weeks being repeated infinitely (well, I think it states something to the effect of like 15500+ loops have occurred).

There are 8 Endless Eight episodes.



[spoiler]To put it in perspective, there's 14 new episodes but 8 of which are the same. That means there's effectively 7 new episodes this season, 8 if we count the EE conclusion as a different episode (it isn't since the only real change is LOOP END). After 3 years of waiting, Haruhi fans have to be pretty fucking pissed at waiting all this long to only be assfucked.[/spoiler]
