To be perfectly honest, I don't remember a single soundtrack from a game (without vocals). I mean, I can probably recognize it if I hear it but they're, as said, in the background so I don't really take much notice of them. I may mock certain games (Phoenix Wright when I first played and EPIC DRAMATIC MUSIC) but I don't really take much notice.

It's something I realized in the various topics where someone inevitably posts game BGM and I'm all "huh what?" the entire time. I always feel weird being happy getting an OST as a pre-order bonus (or buying an OST for an Anime) when I don't really care much for the BGM, no matter how epic it is.

*shrugs* Blasphemy, I know.

Edit: Not that I find anything wrong with liking the BGMs from games/anime. Just something I never really take much notice of, I suppose. I am more particular towards voices and remember those more. Maybe one of these days I'll go through all my OST and listen to them and find some appreciation for it but ... I doubt it.

It's true, I am a terrible person. I suppose it just really comes down to I never really spend much time listening to just BGM and I remember scenes (i.e., what was said, how it was said, etc.) far more than the music accompanying it.

Which is a little ironic that I go out of my way to get such amazing audio quality on anything I watch/listen yet don't take much notice of the BGM...

The Zelda music always sticks in my head, especially for Ocarina (obviously). The Bolero of Fire... I'd warp myself to the temple over and over just to hear it! Also, Zelda's lullaby the final time you hear it... <33

Oh, and all the Earthbound music, of course. Paula's Theme especially. So epic <3333!

Let's see... anymore since I play so much on the DS I don't even listen to the BGM... since I pretty much always have the sound turned off when I play my DS.

That's kind of funny. I remember Bowser sucking horribly in Melee. He's actually quite good in Brawl. o.o
