I was mostly just pointing out that they did some interesting studies about that little myth. We can reconstruct words using the first and last letter to a point. They have a nice example on that page where it fails pretty catastrophically, however. (^_^)

It's basic pattern recognition. Butcher the pattern enough and our brains won't recognize it, even if the first and last letters are still in the right place.

I never said it was the only aspect to comprehending words, but it's obviously a big part. Which means that is, in fact, part of how the brain works.

The only scrambled word I got in the second one was "dubious".

Mistakes I sorta-made while reading:
"phaonmneel" as "phantom"
"ramdinose" as "ransom"
"reibadailty" as "radically"
"coentnt" as "continue"

It's hard for me to imagine how people see chipotle and pronounce it any way other than the correct way, but I sometimes forget most americans don't live right next to mexico

Internet has been terribad lately.

Been trying to work on my HW/Quizzes at home in between having to reset my router and modem every ten minutes to get online.


Comcrap coming (for the millionth time) on Friday to try and fix it. Hopefully, they'll get rid of my awful modem/gateway.
