I confess

I sometimes get annoyed by my own habit of double spacing things at every pause

in stead of

you know

using commas

I just think it looks better and is easier to read

it also makes me reflect on how I read and write everything while speaking aloud in my head

I usually only do that when emphasising pauses or being dramatic, but it doesn't annoy me.

EXCEPT.

I hate reading double-spaced code.

KILL.

Also, I confess I have a habit of using British spellings even when everyone else is using US or Canadian. I don't like the funny feeling the letter z adds to words.
