LOLOLOL!
but sadly I'm a hoarder, i barely use any items at all (except warp wire.... >.> like popcorn in a popcorn factory those things should be). So prevent order is my typical 2nd turn in a serious battle, after bunshin. and in the meantime the monk has use protect order. RT sees a lot less use suddenly, and you never get hit with curse, confuse, etc to start with, and typically end every round at full HP and TP.
Of course, I'm sure i take at least 3 times longer to win said fights compared to Mr MOAR POWARRR ^^ not that theres anything wrong with that.
And this is why EO enchants us... theres no right way or wrong way, just brutal, stark reality that any form of 'unpreparedness' for a particular fight shows you this interesting screen that lets you only save your map data.... and somehow this brings tears to our eyes. *sniffle*

Re: EOIII Rantage!
Actually, if not for the second group (The Wildling + Farmer) I wouldn't be able to beat the Final Sea Boss and probably given up on him. Using that set makes it to where you don't have to worry about binding the elder dragon yourself. Sharing your Protect Order with the NPCs, and having appropriate Accessories helps. In addition, if the Wildling manages to have a free turn and you already Have Eagle Eye up he will use Beast Roar to lower the enemies attack. The Farmer will supply amritas to the wildling, so you can focus on using Amritas on yourself.
I do think they should have made a "Do alone" type option so that you could use your team w/o the NPCs, but have doing it with the NPCs give their Item rewards.

Those doors in B13 (just reached the Fourth Stratum) are a pain in the anus, but the monsters are fun to beat

@Emrin
You could try to find something that kills you after the battle. That would at least save your mapping progress. :3

Oh no no no no no. I'm really picky and weird when it comes to that as well. I feel like, when my party is alive, they can map to their hearts content. But when they die, the map dies with them so there wouldn't be any map left for when I retry the game. And also that would mean still having to go back to get the treasures anyway hahaha
