I remember watching my uncle play heaps of computer games when I was small, he had mostly survival-horror games, and I think my young memory blurred everything together so I incorrectly remembered Myst as being of that genre too. (Specifically: Player walks into room, finds monster, retreats to hallway, falls through floor, dies.) Probably because the coverart for Myst has that guy falling through the sky...

When I did get around to it many years later, I wasn't terribly impressed with Myst. I was really excited about Uru before it came out, but it was just such a tedious start and the basic controls were miserable. I must have spent a good half hour just trying to get to that one handprint without the character trying to jog and fall into the little ditch below. Uh, sidetracked. D:

SO I HERD U LIEK... MOLE-KIPS. I think it'd be super awesome if, since there's apparently not just one dungeon/labyrinth anymore, they gave us additional material on a monthly basis. Or, if they wanted to limit it, they could release a few extensions... like another page of the oceanic map at a time with a few more islands to explore... and eventually the ocean would wrap around onto itself? C:?

P.S. OLDSCHOOL LUCASARTS ADVENTURE GAMES, PLAY THEM NOW IF YOU HAVEN'T BEFORE

meh.
I'd rather keep the series on the DS,
but I'm a console-hater, so just ignore me.

btw, jeez, Maxine, EOIII is announced but you still won't die happily? *wink*

I think I'd require some hefty theorizing before I was convinced it could work on the Wii; I don't see how an attachment with icons would help the mapping at all. D:

You know, a handheld electronic graph board and you have a stylus with it and you just map it out the same as you would with the DS. :3 Only it's a Wiimote-attachment.

Hmm. So you'd have to poke around on your Wiimote for mapping while viewing the map in a specific mode? (Presumably since you'd want the 3D dungeon view fullscreen?) My problem with that is that it's not really taking advantage of the wiimote's capabilities, though I can't think of anything better to do with it in an Etrian port. D:

I'm sure someone far more intelligent and ingenuitive than me can come up with something better. XD
