but the level grinding is the same

Strata Spoilers
[spoiler]According to the wiki, there are six strata.

The first five strata are 4 floors each, and the sixth stratum is five floors long, making the labyrinth 25 floors total.

Oh, and there's a reason it's short? Since the way you put it makes it sound spoilertastic, I don't want to know.[/spoiler]
