Hello guys.

I've been gone for quite a while but I am back for a while since the EO3 burning is still strong. I've been having a lot of fun playing this game and I realize that other people here are having fun too, I thought I'd take it upon myself to help some people out and do some translations before I run away again. I'm not sure if skill translations are necessary because I saw some on GameFAQs already, but I can easily do one if you guys want.

This thread is basically "Ask me some questions that involve translation" and I'll answer them.

Have fun exploring the new frontier!!!

This will basically be one of my last EO-related contributions to this place until a new EO or something of its ilk comes up. As I've said, I've found little reason to be here before but since EO3 is here, I've felt purpose again so >_>

SKILLS

Prince/Princess
-
Royal Lineage - Every time the Prince is buffed, they gain TP. (UNIQUE)
Royal Bell - Every turn the Prince is at full HP, the entire team regenerates some HP.
King's Victory Song - If the Prince has no status condition at the end of the battle, the entire team is healed.
King's March - You regenerate HP while walking.
Reinforce - When buffs are cast, the team is healed.
Proof of Kingship - When the Prince's own buffs wear off, his TP is healed

Attack Command - For 3 turns, a row's ATK is increased
Defense Command - For 3 turns, a row's DEF is increased
Fire Arms - For 3 turns, an ally's attack has FIRE element attached
Freeze Arms - For 3 turns, an ally's attack has ICE element attached
Shock Arms - For 3 turns, an ally's attack has THUNDER element attached

Emit Weapon - Release the power of an Arms enchanted weapon, dealing damage
Reset Weapon - Eliminate the buffs of a target enemy, dealing damage

Immunization Command - For 3 turns, a row's Status Resistance is improved
Ambitious Command - For 3 turns, a row's Max HP is improved
Protection Command - For 3 turns, a row's Max TP is improved
Exchange - Eliminate the buffs of an ally, healing their HP
Renew Life - Eliminate a row's DEBUFFS, healing their TP
Quick Order - The target's action immediately goes first

Warrior

Battlefield Regular - Physical attack damage is improved. (UNIQUE)
Sword Mastery - Sword damage is improved. Required for sword skills.
Hammer Mastery - Hammer damage is improved. Required for hammer skills.
Stun Attack - There's a chance to stun on attacking.
Wide Effect - There's a chance to hit enemies next to your target.
Avenger - The HP that an ally had before dying is the HP that the Warrior is healed for

Break - Attack a single target for decent damage
Rush - Attack random targets for 2-3 times at Lv1
Bind Cut - Powerful single target attack that does more damage if the enemy is Binded.
Rampage - Attacks every enemy.
Blade Rave - High speed attack that attacks random targets 3 times at Lv1

Crush Blow - Attack a single target for decent damage, with a chance to confuse
Arm Breaker - Attack a single target for decent damage, with a chance to bind Arms
Freezing Blow - Strikes an enemy with the power of frost. Hit/ICE elemental
Nine Smash - Attack a single enemy anywhere between 2 to 5 times at Lv1.

Berserker's Oath - Sacrifice some HP to drastically increase ATK for 3 turns.
Selfless Circumstances - For 3 turns, the Warrior becomes immune to status effects
Charge - Spend a turn in order to do increased damage the next.
Wolf Howl - For 4 turns, the enemies' DEF is lowered. It has a stronger effect on enemies that already have status ailments.

Phalanx
-
Guardian - Increase physical damage reduction done to the Phalanx. (UNIQUE)
Shield Mastery - Increase physical damage reduction when a shield is equipped. Required for shield skills.
Spear Mastery - Increase physical damage with a spear. Required for spear skills.
Guard Heal - When Defending, HP is healed.
Parry - There is a chance to nullify physical attacks.
Material Parry - There is a chance to nullify elemental attacks.

Line Guard - Decrease damage done to a certain row. The damage reduction is increased if it is used on the same row as the Phalanx. EFFECTIVE ONLY THE TURN IT IS USED.
Fire Guard - Decrease FIRE damage done to the party.
Freeze Guard - Decrease ICE damage done to the party.
Shock Guard - Decrease THUNDER damage done to the party.
Divide Guard - For the turn this skill is used only, the Phalanx takes damage for a single target.
Over Guard - For the skill this turn is used, damage done to a target that is higher than the Phalanx's own HP is nullified.

Change Step - Attack the enemy and then switch rows simultaneously.
Blitzritter - Lightning spear attack to a single target. Thrust/THUNDER elemental.
Long Stride - Attack all enemies, more damage is dealt if the Phalanx is at the front row.

Revive - Restore all status ailments and binds from self.
En Garde - Sacrifice some HP to drastically reduce physical damage done to self for 3 turns.
Taunt - For 3 turns, attract the enemy to attack the Phalanx. Rather useless at low levels.
Careful Walk - For a certain number of steps, encounters are reduced.

Pirate

Trickster - Whenever you use an offensive skill, TP is restored. (UNIQUE)D
Rapier Mastery - Increase physical damage with a rapier. Required for rapier skills.
Gun Mastery - Increase physical damage with a gun. Required for gun skills.
Self-taught Swordplay - When attacking, there is a chance to attack another time (up to 4 times???).
Lady Luck - Increase critical rate.
Limit Boost - Increase the rate at which the Limit bar increases.

In The Dark - Attack on the enemy that may inflict Blindness.
Chase Saber - Follow a Slash attribute attack on an enemy.
Chase Blow - Follow a Hit attribute attack on an enemy.
Chase Thrust - Follow a Thrust attribute attack on an enemy.
Hanging - Attack on the enemy that may Bind Head.

Quick Draw - Randomly attack enemies. The same enemy can be hit more than once.
Chase Flame - Follow a FIRE elemental attack on an enemy.
Chase Ice - Follow an ICE elemental attack on an enemy.
Chase Thunder - Follow a THUNDER elemental attack on an enemy.
Rapid Fire - Attack an enemy thrice.

Million Thrust - Attack all enemies randomly. Damage is increased with a high AGI.

Eagle Eye - For 3 turns, a target's DEF is lowered.
Troublemaking - For a certain number of steps, encounters are increased.

Shinobi

Smokescreen - Decrease TP cost, ATK is lowered. (UNIQUE)
Short Sword Mastery - Increase physical damage with a short sword. Required for short sword skills.
Conceal - Increase evasion.
Acrobatics - When evading an attack, TP is restored.
Execution - When attacking, there's a chance to instantly kill an enemy.
Flesh Bullet - Upon death, the Shinobi deals FIRE elemental damage to an enemy.

Shadowweave - Strike an enemy from the shadows, with a chance to Bind Legs.
Meshizuna - Slash an enemy, with a chance to Petrify.
Hawk Wings - Attack enemies randomly.
Pluralslash (Takagenbattou) - Attack random enemies with clones. Clones disappear after using this skill.

Ninpou Fukubari (Hidden Needles) - Attack 3 enemies with needles, chance to inflict Sleep.
Ninpou Mizukagami (Water Mirror) - Target with status effects that is hit will have those ailments copied to other enemies.
Ninpou Makubishi (Shattered Diamond) - Attack a line of enemies with slashes, chance to inflict Poison.
Ninpou Kagerou (Heat Wave) - Create a shadow image of onself from thin air, drawing away attention from the real user.
Ninpou Shouchou (Inviting Bird) - For 3 turns, the designated target is the target of all enemy attacks, has a success rate.
Ninpou Bunshin (Clone) - Halve one's HP and TP to create a fully functional image from thin air. This clone can ALSO use skills.
Ninpou Sarutobi (Flying Monkey) - During the turn this skill is used, there's a high chance to nullify enemy physical attacks.
Ninpou Kumogaku (Disappear) - Sacrifice some HP to increase evasion.

Escape Art - After escaping, immediately go back to the Geomagnetic Warp/floor entrance.

Monk
-
Focus Energy - Healing skills restore more HP. (UNIQUE)
Fist Mastery - Fists do more damage. Required for fist skills.
Pilgrim's Gain - If the Monk dies during the battle, everyone else is healed.
Art of Blood Return - If an ally dies, the Monk's TP is restored
Pilgrim's Deed - If the Monk uses a skill, HP is restored
Chakra Zeal - Natural recovery of status ailments and binds are hastened.

Healing - Heal a single target of some HP.
Full Healing - Fully restore a target's HP.
Line Heal - Heal a row of some HP.
Party Heal - Heal everyone for some HP.
Refresh - Restore status ailments.
Bind Recovery - Restores binds.
Resurrect - Revive a fallen ally.

Force Impact - Strike an enemy with one's fist, with a chance to Paralyze.
Burst Fist - Hit random enemies with burning fists. Hit/FIRE elemental.
Counter I - Counter physical attacks
Counter II - Counter elemental attacks
Darkness Fist - An attack that hits all enemies with a chance to curse, at the cost of HP.

Walking over Fire - Reduce damage taken from damage tiles for a certain number of steps.

Zodiac

Ether Mastery - Fire/Ice/Thunder attacks do more damage. (UNIQUE)
Flame Mastery - Required for Flame skills, do more damage with FIRE magic.
Ice Mastery - Required for Ice skills, do more damage with ICE magic.
Thunder Mastery - Required for Thunder skills, do more damage with THUNDER magic.
Singularity Theorem - Damage done to a monster's weakness is increased
Return Ether - When a monster is killed, the Zodiac's TP is restored.

Flame Astrology - Deal fire damage to a monster.
Flame Constellation - Deal fire damage to all targets.
Flame Foresight - Hit an enemy with fire, stopping their attack and reflecting it if it is FIRE element.

Ice Astrology - Deal ice damage to a monster.
Ice Constellation - Deal ice damage to all targets.
Ice Foresight - Hit an enemy with ice, stopping their attack and reflecting it if it is ICE element.

Thunder Astrology - Deal thunder damage to a monster.
Thunder Constellation - Deal thunder damage to all targets.
Thunder Foresight - Hit an enemy with thunder, stopping their attack and reflecting it if it is THUNDER element.

Meteor - Hit random targets with high damage.

Ether Compression - Concentrate, dealing more damage with Fire/Ice/Thunder attacks.
Dark Ether - On this turn, the skills that a row uses do not cost TP.
Observation of Stars - You can see where every F.O.E is for a certain number of steps.

Beast King
-
Beast Heart - Summoned beasts have higher stats. (UNIQUE)
Beast King Mastery - Required to summon beasts, beasts have a higher chance to inflict status
Friendship with Animals - On dying, there is a chance to take the place of the animal.
Sacrifice I - There is a chance for the beast to take the Physical attack aimed at an ally in the same row
Sacrifice II - There is a chance for the beast to take the Elemental attack aimed at an ally in the same row
Beast's Oath - Decrease the occurences of enemy blindsides.

Beast Return - Return a summoned beast and regain the TP lost for summoning
Summon Bird - Summon a large bird which does Thrust attack and can Bind Head
Summon Snake - Summon a large snake which does Hit attack and can Bind Arms
Summon Mole - Summon a mole which does Slash attack and can Bind Legs
Summon Venomfly - Summons a Venomfly which does Slash attack and can Poison
Summon Hypno Owl - Summons an owl that may inflict Sleep on all enemies
Summon Slime - Summons a slime which does Slash attack and can inflict Decay
Summon Raging Bull - Summons a bull that does Thrust attack on random enemies and can inflict Paralysis
Summon Elephant - Summons an elephant that attacks all enemies and can inflict Confusion
Summon Sabretooth Tiger - Summons the sabretooth tiger which tries to instantly kill all enemies.
Summon Lion King - Summons the sleeping Lion King. When it wakes up, it stuns and paralyzes all enemies.

Beast Roar - With a loud cry, enemies' ATK is lowered.
Drumming - With the sound of loud drumming, enemies' DEF is lowered.

Ballista
-
Giant Kill - Deal increased damage against monsters with higher HP. (UNIQUE)
Crossbow Mastery - Deal increased damage with crossbow, required for crossbow skills
Surefire Concentration - Increase accuracy with bow skills
Night Vision - Increase critical rate during the night time
Extend - When a monster is killed, the Ballista's HP is healed
Double Action - When using a skill on a monster, there is a chance to perform the skill a second time.

Heavy Shot - Deal piercing damage to a monster
Rear Mortar Bombardment - Deal heavy damage from the back row to an enemy.
Snipe I - Ready an attack and then strike the enemy with status effects.
Snipe II - Ready an attack and then strike the enemy with Binds.
Random Shot - Randomly shoot enemies.
Fire Barrage - Hit all enemies with a FIRE attack.
Freeze Barrage - Hit all enemies with an ICE attack.
Thunder Barrage - Hit all enemies with a THUNDER attack.
Hi-speed AP Bullet - A piercing attack that ignores enemy buffs.
Rainfall - Shoot arrows into the sky, on the next turn all arrows rain down on all enemies.

Illuminating Shot - For 3 turns, increase the party's accuracy
Smoke Bomb - Inflict Blind on every enemy.

Ambush - For a certain number of steps, increase the frequency of pre-emptive attacks.

Farmer
-
Nature's Blessing - Increase the EXP gained by the party (UNIQUE)
Braveheart - When the Farmer's HP is full, everyone regenerates TP [!!!]
Split Spirit - Once per battle, there's a chance that the Farmer is resurrected from the dead.

Dismantle Mastery - Increases the item drop rate
Wild Smell - Rare item chance from the item search spot is increased
Camp Master - HP and TP healed from Tents is increased, dead party members and petrified party members are also restored

Lullaby - 100% of the Farmer to fall asleep, but has a chance to also put every enemy to sleep
Cry to Cease Attack - For 3 turns, the Farmer won't be targeted by enemies
Mystery Seed - At the end of a turn, all enemies will be afflicted by random binds.
Cursed Eye of Weak - After 4 turns, all enemies' ATK is lowered. Those affected by status are affected more.
Great Moment of Injury - When the Farmer is afflicted by status, he can transfer them to an enemy

CPR - Revive a person outside of battle
Foraging Mastery - All item gathering points are increased
Two Crops a Year - Restores item gathering points
Detection Master - For a certain number of steps, you can see the movement of the F.O.E
Return Master - Same effect as a Warp Wire

Bloodstained Spear - ATK rises when allies/enemies are about to be killed
Restore Will - When the Shogun is resurrected, everyone is healed
Suicide Assistant - When allies/enemies are below a certain amount of HP, there is a chance to instantly kill them [!!!]

Hilt Smash - Deal damage to a target, with a chance to stun
Myoujou [Venus] - Slash random targets, damage rises during the day
Katoki [Unholy Hour] - Slash random targets, damage rises during the night
Olympic Sword - Slash random targets, hits are increased when equipping two weapons

Spiritual Unification - For three turns, become immune to binds
Great Militant - For three turns, ATK and DEF rises, and the chance for enemies to attack you increases
Vanguard's Prestige - Assigns someone to be the "Vanguard" for 3 turns, increasing their ATK and lowering their DEF, and gives them priority over everyone else
Rear Guard's Honor - Assigns someone to be the "Rear Guard" for 3 turns, increasing their DEF and lowering their ATK, and always makes them move last
Assume Formation - Makes a row assume battle formation, causing them to reflect enemy attacks.
Ikkitousen - Combined everyone's attack on enemies, disregarding defense completely.
Fusillade - Commands everyone with a gun or a crossbow to attack a single enemy.
Raging Dragon Formation - Combined everyone's attack on enemies, using all equipment possible.

Retreat to Win - Causes everyone to try and escape at once

Overheat - Increases ATK by a multiplier, but forces you to take damage every turn
Electromagnetic Barrier - When being attacked, you may paralyze the enemy and reflect THUNDER elemental attacks

Red Pot - Shoots FIRE element pots whenever allies use FIRE attacks
Blue Pot - Shoots ICE element pots whenever allies use ICE attacks
Yellow Pot - Shoots THUNDER element pots whenever allies use THUNDER attacks
Resupply - Resupplies Pot energy, restoring Pot HP
Co-ordinated Attack - Assaults an enemy with all accumulated pots
Reflector - Uses pots to reflect and stop enemy attacks of matching elements
Shoot - Uses a pot to attack an enemy. Afterwards, the pot disappears/is destroyed

Part Recovery - Restores parts, curing self from Binds
Purge - Splits parts, causing Binds to self
Rocket Punch - Shoots both arms at the enemy for two Hit attribute hits, arms are binded after
Rocket Headbutt - Shoots the head at the enemy for pierce damage, head is binded after
Rocket Jump - Jumps high up into the air, evading all enemy attacks, legs are binded after
HP Cannon - Only usable when fully Binded, shoots at an enemy dealing non-elemental damage. The less HP, the stronger it gets.

Is this for the first, class-exclusive tabs or what?

Thanks for the descriptions, anyway.
I doubt I'll play it much, since I've become kinda addicted to SMT: SJ (Even though I'm stuck again...), and i need a reason not to see the second Stratum...
I don't want to have the game beaten before starting the American version...

Shinobi/Zodiac isn't hard to see broken (-TP Cost, -ATK == lolspam). Honestly, the amount of ridiculousness possible with Chasers is surprising.

But, looks like they finally found a way to make Casters suck less.

[spoiler]And ironically make them overpowered potentially, though "infinite" TP isn't that useful in an FoE/Boss situation so that overpowered aspect is reliant on their damage output.[/spoiler]
