On-topic: Who isn't gonna buy a 3DS?

With all this news, I honestly think that 99% of everyone who's heard about it, will buy one.

It kinda makes sense to create an Etrian Odyssey for it.
If they'd make it a launch game, (though they probably won't),
the beautiful 3D graphics could make early adopters of the 3DS buy it,
and it'll become pretty well-known.

Or not. This is just me being overly optimisitc, ofcourse, so don't quote me on this. ^-^

Well, considering that the EO games take about a year (maybe more?) to develop, that'd be hard to do before the 3DS goes on sale. The latest rumors have it slated for December-March.

Comparing it to previous Nintendo consoles (rather, what I've read of such comparisons), the 3DS should be expected around October in Japan,
And by March it will have arrived in Europe/USA, since Nintendo stated that they wanted to release it before the end of their fiscal year.

...Which will end at the exact date EO III came out this year. Wow.

Also, I've heard someone say that Nintendo once made some kind of promise that they would never make any Nintendo console cost more then 250$.
It had a source too, IIRC, but I'm currently too lazy to find that post.

The Wii was/is pretty low tech on the inside, hence the low costs. There's no mythical Nintendo voodoo involved here. Cheap internals lead to cheap production costs lead to cheaper price.

Like I said, the only thing we do know for certain is that it is priced for profit and that it's more expensive than a current NDS is. That's not speculation but just things Nintendo has said.

Yeah, I guess you're right. Hopefully time will prove this to be a new game in the series making it earn its own section. ^_^
