That IGN review was beyond awful.
OMG what do map icons do?! Whatever the hell you want. Shit, except for the soldier at the beginning's requirement, you could play the whole game NOT mapping the labyrinth if you wanted. Sure you'd be lost as all hell, but you could technically do it.
What a shitty review.

For some reason I was recently thinking about this, I wish more places did reviews the way Nintendo Power did (not sure if they still do it this way, since I haven't picked up an issue in a few years).
They would have a number of reviewers on each game, and at the beginning of the review section they would list each reviewer's personal gaming preferences, which genres they preferred and the like, so that you knew which reviewers to pay attention to, since you knew which ones liked the same kinds of games you did. I always thought that was pretty neat.
