EOIII Reviews

I think it was more of wanting an explanation on what shit does as opposed to anything else. And, honestly, the story is pretty lacking.
But, hey, that's just me; I don't play games to imagine.
Bascally, I agree with some of her points but don't find them as detrimental to the enjoyment of the game as she clearly did. And wtf at all the grinding references.
Well the two main concerns I have with EO III myself are related to the informations the game gives you, or better the lack thereof.
One more general is strictly tied to the skill decriptions that sometimes are way too cryptic (like the weapon masteries that give +1% to damage, good luck noticing that in the beginning) and makes the game really hard to enjoy fully without something like this forum to confront with other players (which would be a nice idea on a small scale, but in the internet age pretty much equals to "let's look at the faq").
The second one is related to the DS medium, as a portable game I think that some infos should be retrievable in-game, like enemies conditional drops requirements. Maybe something like at the beginning you don't know, then after X times that you get the drop (or after beating that enemy Y times, where Y is a lot higher) list in the monster's codex entry what the requirement is. Don't force me to learn everything to memory or take paper notes, it's not always doable.
I don't see great problems in other areas, expecially the supposedly needed grinding, with a minimum balanced party, it's not required...
For the story, yes, it's not like a good book or something, but is enough to keep things interesting and when a game has such a strong gameplay, I can't ask for more.

This review might very well be one of the most positive reviews of the game so far:

Yea that review needs to die >.> but the comments on the site's review seemingly did of good job of pointing out how much suck that review has..
Though I'm hoping 1up posts a review soonish..I know they have staff there that tend to like this series and I wouldn't mind seeing how they thought the game was in general.
Plus if I recall they had some one writing some stories along with what he was playing in their RPG blog, they kinda of stopped after 2 entries though ._.
