SAL's Perfect Prince(ss) Guide

Since the Prince is my favorite character, I thought I'd write up what I've found to be the best options for it. I'm assuming that if you have/want a primary Prince, that your intentions are for it to be a defensive/support character, since that's what it's designed for. I'm also going to assume that you want your primary Prince to take on the sole responsibility of party defense, without any support from Monks or Hoplites in particular. So with that goal in mind, here's what I've found to be the best skill set to go for with it:

Royal Lineage (*MASTER) - Works a lot like the Bucaneer's Trickster skill, basically lowering the TP cost of anything you cast on yourself.
Royal Veil (*MASTER) - Great for passive healing, though it's conditional on the Prince having full HP.
Reinforce (*MASTER) - Great for active healing in the middle of turns. This gives all of your buff skills an added moderate healing ability.
Attack Order (*MASTER) - Great way to boost your party's damage output.
Guard Order (*MASTER) - Great way to protect the party and lower the damage they take.
Protect Order (*MASTER) - Excellent fire-and-forget healing ability, and the skill you'll probably be using the most.
Karuwaza (*MASTER) - This combined with Royal Lineage ensures that your TP will never run out.
Bunshin (*MASTER) - This is crucial to overcoming the Prince's one limitation of its skills, which is that they only affect a row of allies instead of the whole party. With two Princes in the field you easily overcome this barrier, and allows for full party buffing (see notes below).

Monarch March (1/10) - A good way to gain some extra HP between battles.
Fire Arms (1/5) - A good way to restore TP on the Prince, or against enemies vulnerable to fire.
Freeze Arms (1/5) - A good way to restore TP on the Prince, or against enemies vulnerable to cold.
Shock Arms (1/5) - A good way to restore TP on the Prince, or against enemies vulnerable to electricity.
Ad Nihilo (1/10) - A very important skill to remove buffs from enemies.
Prevent Order (1/5) - An extremely useful skill to block condition effects from the party.
Inspire (1/10) - A very important skill to remove debuffs from the party.
Knighthood (1/5) - A potentially useful skill if you want someone in the party to go first.

Note that the total skill point tally required for this build is 107 (out of a maximum possible of 116). After this, you can spend any extra points however you like.

The power of this build comes from the combination of Bunshin with the Prince's line skills. Duplicating the Prince allows you to cast any line buff on the whole party instead of just one line. This gives them a solid full party defense, where as without it they're lacking the ability to easily counter attacks that hit the whole party at once.
- Prevent Order can now be used as a counter against full party condition inflicting attacks.
- Guard Order can now be used as a counter to reduce the damage of an incoming party-wide attack.
- Attack Order can now spike the entire party's attack power all at once for a coordinated strike.
- Protect Order can now easily be kept up on the entire party, ensuring that everyone gets a continuous source of healing.

Note that you don't have to (and shouldn't) use Bunshin in every battle. In normal fights, the Prince with this build is more than capable of supporting and healing the party without needing to split at all. But against FOEs and bosses, they can sometimes have some troubles keeping everyone safe on their own. Bunshin allows them to overcome that difficulty, and easily overpower their opponents with their superior and now full-party support abilities.
