No you (probably) have the regular copy. As far as I can tell the EO series has always been pretty bad at uniformly deciding how to describe the physical elements of attacks (for example strike damage doesn't exist. It's slash, pierce, and bash). As for the other 2 examples you list, you'd probably find the some of the same errors if you read a novel. There's a lot of text, and sometimes things go unnoticed until the 1000th person reads it. At least, that's what I think.
