Sorry, but that style is just really dull for a rp. Thats more of DnD or some pen and paper rpg. I mean if each rper says "I advance to north hallway" then they have to wait for the gm to say whats next. If its either a "No monsters/traps" then then next set is "I advance to the next hallway".
It just gets bogged down.
Then again i'm just really into balanced freedom. Letting rpers move freely but knowing when to lay down the law.
Now that we got a board, let's use it!

I never said the Skillpoints worked like that. It was like this:
Newbie has: 10 Skill Points
Older RPer has: 37372 Skill Points
Older RPer VS Fenrir= Relatively normal fight.
Newbie VS Fenrir= Going through hell and back.
Basically, it's more of a gauge of how strong your character is. XP
Anyways, I think Harper's idea sounds better than mine, but I think I should at leasttell you the basic gist of mine:
Alakastor Island is now booming thanks to the recent influx of travlers and guilds. the reason is because of a legendary sword belonging to a giant, a race now long extinct (nobody even knows how big the giants were, they could be 9 feet tall for all they know), is said to reside at the bottom of the island. The clues point towards a cave outside of the only town on the island. An exploration team had been sent down there before, but found the monsters too strong to fight. So, they turned to the guilds and travelers.
Now, the whole RP won't be spelunking, because each stratum enters a different part of the island that can't be accessed by normal means. For example, I'm thiking the entrance for the 2nd Stratum should be right behind a waterfall.

That's possible. Though then they wouldn't really show up to help with missions, though they might show up to get in peoples' way. Additionally they probably wouldn't even be needed on each and every floor (/stratum?) so, there would be a lot of lull for the GM to do anything. Or so I'd think, I could be wrong.
