Malach rushed the beast with the others. Seeing as his and the others attacks couldn't even scratch the thing's shell, he switched to swiping at the legs. After a minute, the boy called Grey managed to flip the crab onto it's back. Seizing the oppertunity, Malachi attacked with all his might. He managed to land a solid blow, which seemed to momentarily stun the beast. I must have hit a nerve, Malachi thought. ((He used the nerve skill, the crab is paralyzed for now.))

After the crab was finally cooked,Grey passed around its parts to the guild. Before they would turn in for the night, Maxi would tell them they finished the map and could head back to Rahda Hall. None of the members of the guild, except for Maxi, have set foot inside the city hall yet. They had met Maxi, when she recuited them at the Warrior's Guild.

Score one for the group alchemist! Rather than celebrate his contribution to the fight, he spent most of the time afterward crawling in the grass, looking for something. Eventually before sunset fell, he found it; a tiny chip of the monster's shell that had been knocked off by Aodhamair's axe. He sat a slight distance away from the group (thankfully due to concern for the group...or rather because he didn't want to make everyone mad if he made them all pass out from being too close to the source of the fumes...). He unrolled his small pack of experimental tools and set to work trying various reactions on the shell piece.

After about fifteen minutes of trying various things that created colorful, dubious smoke, he returned to the group with a tiny flame caught at the tip of his frontal fringe of hair. He pinched it to put it out. "Well, I concluded those things are weak to every element. So if I get killed in a gruesome and horrific manner and you all find yourselves surrounded by crabs, try starting a forest fire. So what's for dinner?"
