The only rant I have is that someone doesn't want me to finish Etrian Odyssey. To date I've owned two copies of all the games up to III and all were stolen or lost. So, I'm keeping IV in my DS until I beat it.

The 2nd floor boss isn't that difficult. As long as you have a fairly standard party (it's sort of difficult not to), and have trained decent skills on them, you should be able to inhibit it sufficiently. Blind is probably the most useful affliction in the game. At least, at this point. Ensure that you have someone that can inflict it. Besides, it's only
If you're having trouble finding it, check every spot you come across (and no, it doesn't involve the gaping hole spot: that one is for a quest). Ensure that you've accepted the quest for it from the Count, because I'd assume that you need it, in order for the boss to spawn (I wouldn't know, as I had the quest active.)
