I have a Dancer subbed with Nightseeker -- what happens if I use Speed Boost on both of them? Actually, I guess that's a general question; what happens if I get the same passive bonus skill on both a main and sub-class?

^ I can only speak for Speed Boost, but in that case, the weaker version is applied and the stronger is not.

Dancy may be able to use Nighty's Speed Boost with Fan Dance, but not its own version.
Also, Speed Boost may not actually affect evasion at all.

So do I understand correctly that putting points in Speed Boost on a Dancer-sub-anything is a waste?

4th Land spoiler-y annoyance here: Those are putting an extreme damper on my progress; I assume I'm to sneak in from behind, but I'm having a rather hard time of doing so even with the aid of and . Anyone have any tips for bamboozling those ba?

Get one of the guys to lure, then follow behind him and waste a few moves while he gets the attention of the ship. Then fly straight in. Start moving as soon as the ship goes red and is lured by the NPCs. Once you actually get inside the perimeter (like where the statue things are patrolling, or above them) the ships won't come any closer to you (even if they're focused on you) and you can easily avoid the statue thingies.

First, how do I unlock the door in the mini-dungeon in the 4th Land?

Second, where is in one of the Scarlet Pillars' quests?
