Nope. Extending is like X = X+3. Overwriting is like X = 3.

Finally figured out my party. Took me forever... and somehow I managed to come out with a four-girl party with one guy... :3 My poor girly-looking Mediguy. I'm tempted to make him gay :3 but I dunno yet. We'll see if there's romance potential in the future for him.
Playing Normal Mode. Going around town making acquaintances. Can't wait to enter the labyrinth~

oh jeez. I was going to go back and play the other games (1~3) for nostalgia but 4 spoiled me with the fully animated world-view FOEs, shortcut indicators, and overall easier gameplay.

*cough* But to compensate for his lack of boy-ness, I named him Kenith. ^_^ Slighly butch without being over the top. Hahaha.
So far, though, my impression of EOIV is very good. I do not like the 3D-screen effects and have the slider turned off. I knew I wouldn't appreciate them. 3D does not excite me. I don't even feel it adds any immersion to anything since it looks like flat characters on a far away backdrop.

I really have no idea how to beat the -- its attack is getting me every time. Is there some trick to it?

Uuuugh. Just managed to beat the 4th Stratum Boss. My thoughts on it, below and hidden.

That said, looking forward to playing around with Imperials, as they seem like they'll be entertaining to run thanks to my in-dungeon experiences with That Imperial. That overheat was tricky to work with!
