Okay just tested pretty much everything about the link skills.
Any type of attack will trigger it, magic skills included AND the Dancer chase dance as well.
I was unable to ascertain whether it could continuously follow two successive chases as it's impossible to grab the Link Plus skill in the demo but I surmise that it is the case.
Also interesting fact, the link will activate even if you die during the turn as long as you "placed it" on the enemy first.
For example:
SM does link attack
> Monster kills SM
>> Night Seeker attacks monster
>>> Link activates.
Yippee. I can see this becoming a hit fiesta !
(Also of note, when the hit seeker does a 2 hit combo, the dancer will follow both hits.)

Well no, they are elemental damage and it needs to hit before anyone else does to activate. Can't activate on any other enemy than the one that was marked.
But it does look like it is open to "omg so many hits" hotness.

I don't know about the formula in this game just yet but it seems like a nice combo.
Also, the priority thing isn't an issue. With the skill Vanguard, you always attack first at the expense of your defense. Nothing that can't be fixed by a good old Fortress with Provoke and Divide Guard.
