I've heard that Medics can be pretty much replaced by a Dancer with Regen Waltz. Is this true? How much does a maxed-out Regen Waltz heal?

^ It was pretty much like that in EO3. Medics are convenient for Refresh/Revive, mainly. With a little regeneration every turn, the bigger numbers aren't needed.

In battle, I've found that a Dancer's Regen Waltz & Refresh Waltz is more than enough to keep my front line in good condition. The problem though is that you have to be in battle to heal, which is usually not an ideal situation when you have a character with very low health. Not only that, but it only heals the line your dancer is on. In order to keep recovery for both lines you'll either need to supplement it with healing items (which I carry anyway), or you'll need a dancer on both lines (at which point you might as well just use a Medic and a Dancer).

I don't know what the max Regen rate is for Regen Waltz, however.
Grey medic is best medic.

So I'm thinking of ditching my Landsknecht in favour of a Nightseeker. My final party would be:

Front:
Nightseeker (Kuryu-din)
Fortress (Nadia)
Dancer (Samantha)

Back:
Sniper (Danielle)
Runemaster (Duncan)


Also, I know Runemasters are great to have initially, but are they still useful enough later on?

FRONT
Fortress (Medic) - Pally build with mace skills and tanking
Land (??? (Imperial by calc)) - Elemental Damage (via links) and to get back Tp from weakness hits/Kills
Dancer (Nightseeker) - Heal dances and chase dance (follow my Land), massive 2 hit dps and sword dance
BACK
Sniper (Bushi) - Binds/Aoes/Squall Shot and Rage/Calm combo for TP regen
Medic (Mystic) - Pure Healer with AOE binds/status effects and a TP Regen for breaking the Aruas early

yeah zone matery is lv 8 zones but the only ones thta typee of setup tends to use alot are binds and poison, which i think i maxed
