I exchanged guild cards with Rhythm IRL.
We found out that characters traded can't be used by the other person if said character's level is higher than any that they have in their own guild. Guest characters can't level up, either. Oh, and you can't remove/change their equipment.

Yeah, I noticed storage is free and was happy. And then I noticed the 10-item cap. 
Anyone know if that ever gets expanded, through a quest or something?
One thing to note, though, is that items seem to stack in storage. So sticking, say, two Nectars in storage would only take one slot.
