Importing your demo data, short note

For those trying to find the feature in the demo itself (as i tried at first after not seeing an option in the full game), just hit "New Game" and it will ask you if you want to import your data from the Demo.

Remember to save immediately or you'll lose that data... I didn't want to test to see if it's not recoverable, like scanning QR codes and dying...

The demo save data isn't changed after importing. I learned this one after getting caught off guard by the Deer FOE in one of the first mazes...

So long as you haven't deleted the demo off of your system, your Demo's save data can be imported again.

^ well, before the full release the demo's save data on the 3DS was listed without "demo" and as "Etrian Odyssey IV". Though after playing the game, it might have been overwritten if you did the "extra data" option at the Wharf.
