New EO

From some non-official sources, it looks like there will be a new EO "新・世界樹の迷宮　ミレニアムの少女" (New Etrian Odyssey: Girl of Millennium) coming to Japan on June 27 on 3DS, while the official something will be announced in 28th this month.

Some thought about the unofficial sources if they are true:
1. Looks like we will have another EO to play in Spring 2014
2. The name - being "New Etrian Odyssey" instead of "Etrian Odyssey 5" sounds dangerous, anyone feels the same?
3. Just saw someone speculated that it could be a remake of EO1 with EO4 system......

Anyway we should know more in 2 days~

As long as we can keep our old characters, I think I should be fine with an EO remake.

Hope they make an EO3 remake/sequel as well.

From what I've gathered so far it's an EO1 remake but they're removing the "make your own party" system and implementing a protagonist and support characters... I don't know if I like this or not, I've always preferred having a team of 5 lolis.

Uh what. Fixed party, story focus? I'll remain tentatively optimistic, since I trust Komori to make a good game, but I've gotta say that already takes away a lot of what I like about the series.

Plus it seems awfully soon to be churning out another EO, but if it's going to be a spin-off (a la Megami Tensei and Shin Megami Tensei) then I guess it can't hurt too much.

Agreed. It took me two years to fully digest EO3, and about an entire month (Thanks to casual mode and a linear ending) to get through the main game of EO4. I still find that it is too early for a new EO.

Plus, why would they take out the customizing. It made my Guild unique to have two Dancers/Buccaneers!!
