Shin Sekaiju no Meikyuu - Millenium no Shoujo announced!?

Translated as "New Etrian Odyssey: Girl of the Millenium" (The "Shin" part is often used in reimaginings/rebuildings, such as Shin Megami Tensei or Shin Sangoku Musou), just as promised by EO's twitter feed in Japan.

It's apparently a remake of the original Etrian Odyssey with "expanded story scenario and voice acting" (Named VAs so far for the curious: Kousuke Toriumi, Daisuke Ono, Toshiyuki Toyonaga, Mariya Ise, Shizuka Ito ) and it will be using EO4's engine.

If we get much more info I'll update this, and sorry if this is in the wrong place - there wasn't any "general EO board" or anywhere similar ):

That definitely looks like the EO4 engine, but not EO4 scenery. Frederica is indeed a Gunner.

This is quite interesting, as I still don't have Etrian Odyssey. I'm pretty sure that the stuff in the scans wasn't in the first game, however.

anyway in many ways it really is still going to play like classic EO, just with a heavier plot/character focus than normal.
