My best guess is Tuh-latch-guh, except the tuh is short/fast enough to not be it's own syllable.

That would only change the beginning, they still seem to agree on the -achtga part* at least. That was the troublesome part for me. @_@

It's an actual Irish name? On one hand that makes sense, and resolves the pronunciation problem, on the other hand I'm a little disappointed that it's no longer relevant that I can pronounce the -chtg- part as three consonants because it's Irish, not Dutch.

Ah well, there's still Landsknecht. I'm one of the few here who can pronounce (and hence spell) that properly. It's a German or Dutch word (same meaning, only the pronunciation of the -ch- would change).
