Etrian Odyssey V for 3DS launches August 4 in Japan

Looks veryveryvery nice, at this moment I would buy immediately. I expect to change cloth colors, too. I'm convinced BLUE is not the only color a Fencer can be.

I'm only disappointed I can't get my hands on this for at least another year.

Very interested in what Necromancer can do. My initial party will have that plus:

At the very least, I expect our usual 2 preset colors per portrait, and I vaguely remember reading something about 10... somewhere.

I guess with all the different parts and details, choosing our own cloth colors would be too much. Though I would definitely like that a lot.

Thank you! I missed almost the entire livestream because the nicovideo app is terrible (and you have to watch via the phone app and you have to make an account first) and basically showed me one still image every twenty seconds. I was hoping someone would find the footage afterwards!

Some news with the new Livestream...

First off, Etrian Odyssey 5 is probably going to the last numbered entry in the Etrian Odyssey series for the Nintendo 3DS. This COULD indicate that the series will be jumping to NX, but it could also indicate that it really is the End of the Long Myth for us.

The FOE theme is reused from Untold 2 for now. The normal battle theme is pretty great, though! So yeah, I'm pretty excited for this to eventually come out, even if it has a chance of being the last game in the series.

Oh, so they're supposed to be spelled "Earthrun", "Therian", and.. "Bronie"? Okay, that's definitely gotta go. "Earthrun" sounds Engrish, but "Bronie", just.. no.

I can't quite make out the skin color selection. Is it the same full RGB scale as the eyes and hair color selection, or just a palette. I hope the ultra short glimpse we can see in this video is just a shot from the confirm/cancel options where the RGB bars have been greyed out. If it is only a palette, it is yet another example of the heavy white-bias in such palettes in RPGs. It'd also have to be race-specific because the Necromancer has a skin color that isn't in this screenshot.

That deluxe collectors' edition looks scrumptious though. Also in English plz?
