Etrian Odyssey V for 3DS launches August 4 in Japan

The Untold series's story mode additions aren't the greatest, and EOU1 was basically made for story mode only, but I would say that EOU2 is a decent remake of EO2 in classic mode. It's a nice update for oldtimers, and newcomers get to play one of the older games without paying a fortune for a second-hand copy.

Basically, the 2 important things are:

40:13 - the Guild theme

47:03 - The battle theme, FM version. Apparently the FM soundtrack will be DLC, let's just hope it's free at release like some U2 DLC

EDIT : for those in Europe, in case you don't know, Atlus and Sega found a new publisher for Persona 5 and SMT IV : Deep Silver. There is no word about Etrian Odyssey yet, but it's a good sign ^^

DLC outfits!

There's the EO1 Paladin and the Medigirl (with unique looks, not a recycling), 2 school uniform characters (a guy and a girl with the sailor thing), a "Sweater Girl" and another we don't know about. There's only an image for the Paladin.
And also the two experience and money quests we don't care about.

I would gladly pay money just for the ability to use portraits from older games on 'similar' classes. Like Hexer portraits on Necromancer and the like. It seems strange to just reuse two old ones and make three, as far as we know, 'modern' ones. I keep my hopes up for 'Sweater Girl', though.
