I hope EO5 will have Character customization

It obviously EOU2 has only five main characters voices. No classic voices.

Is Artelind and Wilhelm playable?

Etrian Odyssey 5 will have character customization instead of portrait graphic. If they didn't, none of playable characters have voices and only had NPCs. It meaningless voices.
Character customization is necessary in EO5. Characters became full 3D instead of 2D graphics.

Customize your character and select your class

Unlockable contents are classes, character styles, clothing.
Default face styles and unlockable ones.
Default clothings and unlockable ones.

Guild cards have your customized characters and able to 3D view.

It able to make a character like Forest folk. Elf Paladin is possible.

I don't see how customizing characters would in any way affect gameplay... I would like it a lot, personally.

The idea is just like Radiant Mythology.
Making your free characters instead of portraits.
If not changed, PCs will not have voices forever. Selecting your wanted voice is necessary.

But, I like race as class. Like forest folks maybe bringing in two different classes on their own to signify their difference from us mundane/technological/educated humans! XD

Granted I don't like unlockable classes since I'm too lazy to train them up. I have this compulsion to keep each groups of 5 on the precise same exp not level.

No, voices are not necessary. I find games far more enjoyable if I don't have to the characters making random noises all the time.

I'd like a more simple character customization system. Like, you have the 4 base portraits like in the other games, but you can choose your own colors. Or just things like hairstyle and age, but not every single detail.

I really want to see more advancements in clothing options. Sure, the people can stay the same, but more clothes would be nice. (Necromancer, PLEASE put on some more clothes or close your coat!)

You can even have two differently colored eyes. But why no different clothing colors?

And why no skin color customization using the RGB sliders? The functionality is there obviously, but for some reason they disable them for skin color and instead give only a small palette with mostly variations on pale and pink
