Hint in Mystery Dungeon?

I think I found a hidden teaser in Etrian Mystery Dungeon. I'll mark it as a spoiler for EMD, but it's at around the point where you meet the science lady (forgot her name)



I think this is definitely a reference to Etrian Odyssey 5.
What could this mean?
