All fandoms have some form of fan pornography, all of them do. When Maxine was scouting out opinions, a significant number of people she spoke to wanted the NSFW Gallery. Therefore it's the correct assumption to make that people wanted to view this material. If your market research polls 50 people and 50 people want material X on a website, that means 100% of your researched audience want it.

You're clearly misreading Maxine's posts to continue this moot point. If she doesn't include NSFW material and tries to be family friendly then all swearing has to discontinue, all signatures that include semi-naked anime people have to discontinue, discussion about R/18+ rated movies and TV shows have to discontinue. Although we can, and have the power too, we shouldn't take away a material that a fair proportion of people want just because you don't like or want to see it doesn't mean it's the same for everyone else. In fact, we've made it so that people who don't want to see it can't see it.

We've accomodated for everyone, and in as many areas as possible. There's nothing more we can do, or are willing to do. This entire topic has been derailed by an attempt to discredit the site and Maxine. This topic needs to get back on track after this post, the moral issues of Child Pornography and the legal ramifications otherwise it will be locked.

No, I wasn't clearly misreading MM's posts. I genuinely didn't understand what she was getting at in regards to some of her comments. While I respect your position as Admin, I don't care for some of the assumptions you are making regarding why I would question her.

I have been civil in this thread so I see no reason as to why my intentions should be questioned. As for the direction of the thread, several of us, MM included have contributed to it going in different directions at times. Again, as long as we are civil to each other, I don't see why there is a problem.

And what does all forms of fandom have pornography have to do with anything? Did I ever deny that or bring it up? That still doesn't make it right -- especially in this case when some people are under the impression that the characters from the game in question are severely underage.

As I've previously stated, decisions will be made when they are made. This thread needs to get back on topic otherwise it will be locked. I appreciate your comments and feedback, but this topic is no longer the time or the place from anyone (Maxine and myself included).

Child porn is wrong, lolita is equally as wrong, even if it's slightly more legal.

AS, you probably missed it as I was editing it, but I stated why bringing up porn in fandom is relevant to this case and child pornography -- age.

A good portion of this thread was dealing with if illustrations could be considered graphic and how.

The discussion of child pornography is relevant, nothing about whether or not this website should host pornography. It does not and will not host child pornography, as previously stated, for reasons which I've previously stated.

Regarding whether or not all fandoms have pornographic images, and child porn in the same breath is relevant. Although it was yourself who brought up porn in fan art in post.

However, this is the final warning about the discussion of pornographic fanart being hosted on this website. A general discussion about it is permitted, but in a new topic as this is about child pornography. If you want to discuss how evil or angelic the people who make child fanart pornography are, feel free.
