I had pretty high expectations of EO months prior to the U.S. release based off of what people were saying about the import version, the pedigree of some of the staff members (in Japan), interviews, and a preview I read from Casey Loe in Play -- he was one of my favorite staffers at GameFan. I probably played EO close to 10-12 hours on the first day it was released in the U.S. alternating between my two DS units. The game totally lived up to my expectations......which is rare.

one of my first impressions of the game, before i played it, was that it was for very thorough players - especially because of the mapping part. when i played it, i was happy to see that it was, because i love do be very detailed and complete when i play games, so the mapping was perfect, same w/ the item/monster list in radha hall.
my boyfriend bought me the game and kept warning me how hard it was going to be and that it took a lot of patience, so i don't know that because he over-warned me, or what, i was pretty prepared to take my time when i first started. i remember having problems with not having enough money, but not really too worried about my slow pace.

Haha, I kinda find it funny that people always mention their hard time with money. The moment I got that first Item Point chop on Floor 1, I knew how the tackle it and made a bunch of survivalists. Money was never an issue for me in the game. Of course, I never mind exploiting things like that the moment I see them in games. I'm a very patient person and if I see a trick or two that could get me through something easier, then I'm usually right on it.
