ugh... can't find my DS -_-;
I'd borrow my brother's, but my 2nd EO file was on my R4 (in my DS).
I still have the actual cartridge, but I can't bring myself to erase my save data.
Been looking all over for my DS, but still can't find it.
Maybe I'll just make ANOTHER file using my brother's R4..... provided I can find it >_>

ack, I do need to finish this.
Funny story, it seems that my younger brother had my DS Lite (and many other pieces of video game accessories/hardware) in a bag in his closet. He found it after FINALLY cleaning his room.
Good to know it was just sitting there for ~6 months.
Oh man, I totally forgot there was a floor in his room. You have no idea.
No I can resume at long last.

(you know Zeta, you can use an homebrew app for R4/others that allows you to send the save file from the cardridge to the pc and export it to a .sav file and viceversa)
I'm wondering: how similar is EOI's Yggdrasil Tree from the ? Is Etria built "on" the tree or "in" the tree? How is space conceived in EO's world? Like okay far east means another dimension (and they simply say far east since it's like medieval times down there - or up there? -).
Are EOI's and II's Yggdrasil Labyrinth the same? Could they be generated from a bigger one? O_o

I believe Etria was unknowingly built ON the tree. Like, all of the land was laying on the top branches of the tree. And as we know, there were jungles and oceans and even DESERTS inside that tree. And penetrating all the way through it brought us to Shinjuku, which is a real place. The canopy of the tree in EOI might very well be the size of a continent.
I'm not that far in EOII, but I know we're entering from the bottom, so I'm not sure. It's conceivable that multiple labyrinths could exist in the same giant tree, connecting different worlds above and below.

The intro to EOII says there was a "castle stronghold" that the people fled to when the waves were flooding all the islands. So obviously the ancestors knew about it, it could have just been forgotten after the mentioned "passing of ages" in the intro thing.
Ah, just found this in an interview.
IGN: Etrian Odyssey II makes use of the same mapping system, but it's a whole new story, right? Can you break it down for us?
Atlus USA: In this game, you leave Etria completely behind for a new adventure in the Grand Duchy of High Lagaard. There's another giant Yggdrasil here, complete with its own Labyrinth, but the setup is different here. Instead of going deeper and deeper below the surface, you'll be climbing up Yggdrasil's trunk on a journey to find a way into the legendary floating palace.
...And I'd say Atlus knows more about this game than any of us. [hide]....except Scy[/hide]
