FOE?

The first game? I only carry one. The one time I had none, I needed it most. That's okay 'coz I had the spell on my alchemist by the second stratum and I always made sure she had TP in reserve.

The second game? I carried two after a certain event left me stranded. After I played through enough to feel safe, I just need one. Going back to town and buying the exact things I need has become routine.

I was able to get a used copy of EO2 today and I started playing. For some strange reason when I chose the original "PLASM" team, I went through the floor just fine. I open the door all the way to north west side of the map, and saw a FOE. Big orange ball. Anyway, I turned around, and walked out the door. I thought they follow you?

And why for some strange reason it felt a little easier than part 1. I'm on the second floor of EO1 at the moment.

EDIT: Also, I won't create a ton of topics just to ask questions. I'll place them here, so I can at least find them...

If an FOE is following you, they turn red. Some FOEs move in a set pattern, some FOEs only move when you meet certain conditions, some FOEs follow you as soon as you enter the same room, some FOEs follow you but they have a restricted area in which they will move in... There are just so many ways for them to move. It's usually the more hostile vicious FOE that will follow you around, like Stalkers.

Oh okay.

I don't want to look at the maps posted here on the site but, I'm sooooooo tempted to look. I was wondering is there available info on the FOEs? (Stats: Level, HP, things of that nature anywhere?)

I see. But I will follow your and everyone else's advice and steer clear till much later in the game.

I'm so addicted it's crazy. =)

EDIT: Is it okay to max the skills Fire Up and Fire, etc? So that way I get maximum damage from the spell?

Well... it depends on what you want out of your other team mates and such. Skill points are very sparse so you really need to think before you do such a thing. I don't know the exact numbers (and forget it I'm terrible with them) but, you won't have enough skill points if you want to also have your alchy do other spells, too. But a Fire Alchemist isn't necessarily a bad idea and from what I remember is the best spell in the game, but then... Ice is a necessity with other creatures, too. (Lightning was the least used spell for me, but I still remember having to put a few skill points in it as well)

I had two Alchemists in my party so I didn't have too many problems with this. ^_^;

I just learned what was necessary and maxed out the third tier spells.
