More quests done...and a surprise in one quest.
"Life in the balance" spoilers...and another old EO1 veteran boss returns
Innkeeper's daughter found on 14F, claiming she was getting new flowers for the charm I had. Aww, how nice. Now let's go...uh oh, she got whisked away by a dragon.
...Well, that explains the 100k en prize for the quest. I'm going to have to kill the dragon and it might not be pretty.
Followed it to 13F and found it in the NE corner as a black fuzzball.
Me: "Uh oh."
I decided to run straight into it just to see what it is.
*Drake appeared*
Yeah, THAT Drake. From EO1.
My exact response upon seeing that: "Son of a bitch!"
And...Drake still has that crazy powerful Freeze skill.
It also has Shower, an attack that hits random party members hard.
Of course I got my ass kicked
.
This is not going to be fun to kill. I can see that.
Decided to join this thread too now that I'm a bit further along in EO2. I loved reading all your stories and experiences.
Uhm, I honestly forgot that the shopkeeper at Sitoth is called Abigail. I've been seeing her image next to Maxine's posts for weeks now, so I think of her as Maxine ^_^'
The squirrel didn't get anything from me because I hadn't bought warp wire yet. I ♥ all the little events in the Labyrinth btw. They really add to the depth of the game.
Reading your stats and such I get the feeling that I'm way over-leveled. I'm on floor 10 now, and my characters are at level 32. I spent a long time leveling up before realizing that I should sneak past Salamox (sp?). The regular enemies aren't much of a problem, unless they decide to all gang up on one party member. My War Magus's TP are still often what limits my stays in the Labyrinth thanks also to all the damage tiles. Well, that and my inventory filling up of course. Maybe I should dump out some of those items I'll probably never use anyway (I have four Nectar/IIs and five Medica IIs for example).
The Dark Hunter surprised me by being one of the main damage dealers (the other is the Gunner). Who knew whips were so powerful? The Survivalist is kinda divided though, what with having so many needed skills (Ambush and Sagacity, Patrol, Foesense, Mine (the others only Chop or Take)). The War Magus's sword techs all require status effects that no one can give, so that part of her tech tree remains unused. Just as well, since she spends most of her TP healing anyway. At least the Troubadour has all her essentials, so she can now spend some skill points on increasing her damage output.
Another drawback of this party is that no one has Scavenge, which makes rare drops indeed very rare. I still haven't found out what other item the Furyhorns can give for example, and some other FOEs also gave nothing or whatsitsname, some hide.
Two questions: What does LUC do? And what does TEC do? Which skills affect my characters' accuracy?

First post here! So hello everyone and all that.
Anyway, started this last night, so I might be a little late to the party, but I'm loving it so far despite only having got as far as the second floor. First thing I noticed was that it seems a damn lot harder than the first game. I know it wasn't exactly easy originally, but boy, I'm struggling!
Party is currently a Landsknecht, Protector, Alchemist, Gunner and Medic. Gunner's position was originally a Magus, but I changed that after realising the Magus seems to require a Hexer to be of any real use. I reckon the Gunner is more suited to my style of play as well, since that position was taken up by a Hunter in the first game.
So yeah, good stuff so far, hoping to get properly into this after I'm done with the initial hurdle of not getting killed all the time!
