Swords Vs. Axes?

Seeing as how both have access to elemental chasers and that stronger axes seem to be unlocked earlier with more regularity, is there any reason to use swords? I like all slash, but are there any other skills worth taking. I have 2-hit almost max, but it doesn't seem as useful. Should I put some points in hyper cut on top of it? Thanks in advance for any help.

I went axes, because most people go swords for all-slash, but I will tell you, I have never regret watching the damage done by brawn.

Brawn is a very nice skill. Either way, axes or swords, I think you still have a lot of versatility.

Sorry about the edit here but have you ever noticed a change in 2-hit? Or have you stuck with axes from the onset?

In the first EO I used both a sword and axe landsknecht. In EOII I only have a sword landsknecht. I haven't noticed too big difference between them, but I still haven't leveled very high yet so maybe later unlock skills and whatever matter.
I have about 5 levels into 2-hit right now for both my Gunner and Landsknecht, and I have noticed an increased frequency of double-attacks. It's only as useful as how often you rely on just their plain 'attack' which, for my Landsknecht, is pretty much constantly.

DAMAGE OUTPUT:
LvMax;

Swords:
Allslash - 150%
Tornado - Target: 250%, adjacent: 100%
Cleaver - 220%
Risk Slash - 175% (at 5% HP)
Hypercut - 200% (high attack priority)

Axes;
Deathaxe - 225%
Stunner / Silencer - 220%
Brawn - 260%
Life Axe - 210% (at 50%~100% HP)

Yeah, I think it is clear which one has the higher damage output for the basic swords/axe skills... Here is my personal advice for what you should do:

Have a Protector? Max out Counter. DO IT. I don't care if it's a base 25% chance of counter at level 5, do it. Going axes? Take advantage of the high damage output by investing in Blazer/Freezer/Shocker! Furthermore, go War Cry. 166% ATK boost at level 5 is nothing to scoff at. 2-Hit really only shines at level 8~10, so, if you've already gone for that, continue to get there.

All Slash is still surprisingly useful in some situations. I've decided to keep the swords since it is suppose to be the same guy from my guild in the first one. Besides, hyper cut is actually a pretty nice skill. Also big thanks for those stat break downs.
