Custom Classes
Did you ever think about making your own classes?
I sure as hell do, all the time.

Oh of course. Like, they give you a certain amount of points for base stats, and a limited amount of skills you can have? I think it could work well, and you could have "protector" or "survivalist" as a sort of template you could choose to base your stats off of. They also need some sort of create-a-character thing. Seriously, every game needs that. AND IT NEEDS TO SHOW WHAT EQUIPMENT YOU WEAR.

I like the adorable character art more than today's fancy 3d models, even the ones created by the best artists in the world. ^___^
It's hard to say if the game needs any more classes. Beast felt highly unecessary. Feels like a Protector with healing abilities (IE Protector EO I) and improved foraging from the Survivalist. I hope it doesn't return if there's a sequel.
The only archetype they haven't explored is thief types. Though that might be difficult since if all it could do is steal, that would be kind of boring. Even if they gave them skills typically associated with thief classes (Scavenge, anything related to improved movement of the party, etc.), they still need to give them something to contribute to the group, especially FOE/boss battles. :[

I don't know if trying to steal from a massive blood thirsty dragon is my idea of survival.

You know what would be a cool class?
Merchant - Basically a specialized item user who makes it possible to purchase items in the labyrinth. Only to a certain degree of course, otherwise the game would be easy mode.
Force skill could be 'Advanced Chemistry', turns all enemies into rare items.
Berserker - A mix of Protector and Landsknecht. HEAVY focus on physical combat, with high HP. Barely TP or skills though.
Force skill could be something like... uhm... 'Unleashed Fury'. A series of strikes with high chances for critical hits.
