Don't think so.
In fact, I think I remember poison overriding another status effect I had on one of my characters once. Though I could've be hideously wrong / not paying attention / confused by there being only 1 icon visible; since binds obviously stack.
Of course, it might be possible for a Viper Poison + Hexxer Poison to stack, but that would be hard to pull off; and overkill anyway.
Yeah, its a little thing, but finding a new pretty area was the best reward of all for me in the second strata after the generic forest of the first. Its something that slightly dissapointed me in EOI, since the jungle didn't seem that grand a change, whereas this is pretty. I also liked the townspeoples comments.
I'm tempted to ask what the third & fourth strata look like, but I probably shouldn't spoil myself. I know one of the strata is chock full of Sakura petals since I saw such in a youtube video, but thats the extent of it.

Statistically, Poisoner is worse than Viper in alot of ways. Costs more TP/Less Basic Damage/Less Poison Damage at 5th tier.
Considering that Survivalists have a great AGI and normally buff it as well, they typically like to go first (esp. if they have 1st turn as well). Because of this, I'd think that Number would be a reasonable choice for the combat survivalist; since it could prevent a dangerous enemy from moving. Leave Sleep and Poison to the Hexxer/DH. Then head straight to Apollon.
That said, like any status, it'll be nerfed in effect vs. a FOE or Boss, possibly to the point of it not being worth it for a Survivalist to bother.

Quite frankly, you'd probably deal more damage in the long run with 2-Hit, even if Poisoner landed the Poison effect.
Edit: As to if Viper/Poisoner overwrite Poison (Hexer), I have no idea to be perfectly honest. I'd assume no since Poison is of greater effect but EO2 has some weird mechanics at times ...

Another update:
Chimera respawned and I hit him with Sakura's Poison on the first try (!)
Two ricochets and a bunch of other attacks later, and he goes down in just three turns, much to my shock and awe. To add insult to injury, the Protector blocks his only counterattack with Parry and the Medic deals the finishing blow. Massive humiliation for him, ne?
Well, I no longer have any money problems with that 30K I just bagged. Doing this also unlocked the Zamiel Bow thats like 200K to buy. Might be ~just~ a little while to get that. LOL.
