I've tried scanning things before in the past. However, the scanners my parents have always bought were always the low-end, low-quality producing rip-off scanners that would never suit my tastes. FINALLY, my parents went out and bought a REALLY REALLY nice, high-end, wireless printer. :3 I'm VERY satisfied with the scans that I get. SO! Guess what I went and did for you guys: Scans of the three page EOII article spread included in the June 2008 edition of Nintendo Power (the one I so diligently typed out). BUT, even kewler: Scans of the Etrian Odyssey II Manual. I ALSO plan on doing the first book. However, it took me about an hour just scanning those pages and then another hour cropping, resizing, adjusting, re-scanning (I'll be honest... my scanning skills SUCK), and meeting my own quality-check approval. I'm tired. I'll try to get the first game's book tomorrow.

Notice something new today? That's right! The upper banners have changed! And in case you didn't read them, not only do we now have a Veoh account where we will be hosting videos at a beautiful resolution, but we now have a store!! ItL Store - Shilleka's GoodsThe store is powered completely by Amazon.com. When you click the link, based on where you're located, you will either be taken to the USA store or to the UK store, but don't worry, you can travel back and forth between the two stores as much as you like. What does this mean for ItL? It means we are going to get a little revenue going in. *Gasp* Does that mean we are now profiting off of Atlus to line our own pockets so we can go on shopping sprees and buy expensive clothes? Don't make me laugh. Actually, this money is going ONLY to the site in the hopes of making it better. Now, there are no official plans yet, but, I there's been talk of things such as VBulletin boards and *shifty eyes* an ItL Radio. At least, these are some of the things we would like to do with the site. But, we need you to help us. We offer quite a selection of games in our shop, especially Atlus games. There's even a special link center in the American side to help you easily locate upcoming games so you can put in your pre-orders! Oh, and we aren't selling only games. There's a few anime titles and gaming soundtracks in the store as well. Check it out! ALSO, this might not be the only change that we make to the site. Archaic has already done some testing that you might have seen, but ItL might just get a few google banners added here and there - don't worry. It won't affect the site design at ALL since I created the site to have spots for them. Pffft, I'm not letting banners ruin my beautiful design.

So, I've been rather busy with this or that and keep putting off website work. For that, you have my apologies. But, for the next few weeks, you guys have my undivided attention as I plan on working my butt off on getting content posted up. Today we have: All Quest Solutions and The Tree Key Location. The Quest Solutions is the same guide that is written up and posted by Scy over at GameFaqs. He has given permission to host the guide there. However, I would like to publicly thank all of the ItL forumers who participated in our Quest Solutions topic in the effort of trying to do what Scy beat us at. Thanks guys! You were great! And if anyone notices any errors or has questions about the All Quest Solutions guide, please feel free to continue posting in that topic. We would be more than happy to hear from you! Enjoy! Now, how about some media?

If you've ever been stuck on one of the Etrian Odyssey games, chances are you've headed over to GameFaqs where you would have found a wonderful collection of maps created by Zaraf. We have been given special permission by Zaraf to host his maps. In addition to this, we will have a special upcoming feature that we've been hard at work with Zaraf to collaberate. But, you'll just have to wait to hear more about that, but trust me, it's going to be good. And yet again, thank you Zaraf for the permission to host these wonderful maps. Sorry about the delay in this, but I've been rather busy enjoying the Etrian Odyssey II game. As such I also have not written up my review, yet, despite my promise. It will be up this week, though... probably. So, the Official English EOII website finally launched the last of the media it was holding back. We'll start first with the eigth and the ninth Developer Comic. Click here to check them out.And finally the last of the wallpapers, displaying the Ronins, Survivalists, and Beasts! As always, check them out in our Media Gallery.*Wipes away a tear* ... No more comics... How sad. *Sigh* My life will be empty without checking the official site every Monday. Oh well... it gives me more time to spend with Izuna and Shino. And one last plug that I promise this time has more to do with Etrian Odyssey: Our Etrian Odyssey Forum RPG is finally starting! Don't miss out on all of the fun! Sign up to play at Role Play: Radha Hall and enjoy the game in the lower boards, Role Play: The Odyssey!

Finally! After months of waiting, Etrian Odyssey has officially launched. If it's not already in stores near you, it will soon be arriving. Please, check with your local store and see if/when they will be getting in copies. Atlus games aren't out for long, so don't miss your chance. More importantly, though, Atlus has addressed a major password bug. While some games are able to easily read the passwords from the first game (given only when the player has completed the fifth stratum of Etrian Odyssey), there are a few games that have been experiencing problems. If you are one of these unlucky players, please read this thread on the Atlus Forums: Atlus Addresses Password Bug. Also, be sure to hop over to our forums for other help in the game - or to simply just rant about your experiences (all of it spoiler free or marked). I have also started compiling solutions to Quests which can currently only be found at the forums. So hop on over there! Scheduled for this weekend: my review of Etrian Odyssey II!

Update: It seems that the below article is only true for CERTAIN Gamestops. PLEASE, call and verify with your store before you make any rash decisions, and again, this information is not completely verified. You probably remember our retracted statement about early release for Gamestop. Well, it seems like the retraction is incorrect. Much to the surprise of everyone, Gamestop really has released the game early. Unfortunately for some people, like myself, Gamestop did not even give me the call to inform me that the game is in. While I still have not received official confirmation on this, and will update this entry if necessary, this early release ONLY applies to Gamestop. EBGames is NOT included. However, I strongly encourage everyone to give their stores a call and to just double check and verify when the game will be in. I know I'm psyched that I will be getting my game tomorrow as opposed to waiting until Tuesday!

So, seeing as how yeseterday was Monday, of course the Official English EO2 Site updated with content. First we have a new comic, which makes this the seventh comic in the set. Only two more left to these... how depressing! - View the comic in our gallery. Also, the Protector wallpaper series have been added. So many wallpapers, so little time, huh? - As always you can view them in our gallery. And, don't forget that we have our Ask Atlus Session with Nich Maragos going on. He's already answered a lot of good questions. Feel free to sign up and ask yours. Surely there's something on your mind that you wanna ask the localization team before you purchase the game next week (which you should have already pre-ordered). Last but not least, we have a few interviews that we want to point out that are focusing on Etrian Odyssey. Sorry we didn't get these mentioned sooner. First we have 1Up's interview with Etrian Odyssey story writer Shigeo Komoroi. And lastly, an Atlus Production Diary entry on the official site. Not an interview but Nich Maragos, Project Lead shares some of his insight in the game with the naming of things. (Yes, this is the same person who's answering questions on our fourms as a guest.) With that said and done, if you are interesting in some more media, click the read more link as I've got a wonderful youtube video a fan of the site sent to me. I have another as well but, one at a time, right?

Much to our delight and pleasure, we at ItL have put together a special treat for our viewers. Starting tomorrow, there will be a special announcement thread in our Etrian Odyssey II boards called "Ask Atlus Session". From there you will be able to post any questions you have about the EOII game (and any you may have from the first one) to have them answered by none other than: Nich Maragos. For those who are clueless about who Nich Maragos is, he is the Atlus USA Editor and Project Lead for both the Etrian Odyssey games. As always, you must remember that ItL is in no way affiliated, endorsed, or connected by Atlus USA. We are an unofficial fan site. Because of this, Nich Maragos is only joining us as a temporary guest from tomorrow until the launch of the game. There may be questions he will be unable to answer, but don't let that stop you from asking them. Also, remember, he is busy, so his time is limited. Ask now or miss out! Both Archaic Sage and I, Maxine MagicFox, are honored to have him over on our forums, and we hope everyone will have a great time with this Q and A session!

Etrian Odyssey has only just been released in the United Kingdom, in fact, it was released on the 6th June, so make sure that you go out and pick a copy up. We all know that Atlus games disappear faster than you can believe! Anyway, as usual, there are reviews being written across all major websites and magazine. The Official Nintendo Magazine, which is the UK equivelent of Nintendo Power in the US wrote a fairly lengthy article on it, which we now have available to you.

Finally, several months after the site's official opening, we at ItL sat down and started working on a project long overdue. And finished it. I would like to announce that our official ItL Forums now has its layout that we had planned for it to have a long, long time ago. It took a LOT of hard work and code grinding to get it. Not everything is perfect and there are minor bugs we are still stamping out and a few graphics we would like to change, but it looks absolutely beautiful. And for those that haven't realized yet, with the launch of our forum's official design, we can now feel good about opening the ItL Labyrinth Portal over to the left side underneath the navigation menu. Feel free to sign in over there at any time which will provide instant access to the forums and the image gallery (and it tells you if you have any new PMs). Now you can be anywhere on the website and not miss a single thing! Edit: *Collapses* And then inevitably something fails... It seems the "Full News" links are NOT WORKING. We are aware of the problem and trying to fix it. ... *Sigh* LOL

From the Official USA EOII Site, we have new wallpapers and a new comic. And even more exciting is that there is now less than two weeks between us and the release of Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard. Remember, if you haven't already, PLEASE pre-order the game. Not only does it help promote Atlus, but it will ensure that you get the game. Atlus games have a way of disappearing VERY quickly off the shelfs and are hardly ever re-stocked. This is the Atlus-way. Don't let it come back to bite you! Now, to the updates! First, we have the release of the Troubadour Wallpapers. - View them in our Media Gallery. Also the english translated #6 EOII webcomic (which is one of my personal favorites for some reason). - Definitely might wanna read this one. We also have a little more news that deals with our forums, click the Read More link below to read what's happening.

If you've already pre-ordered your EOII game, chances are you've been notified about something very exciting. The release date for Etrian Odyssey II has jumped from June 17 to June 12!! w00t!
To reflect this change, I have updated our site's Countdown Timer and the EOII page. Remember, if you have not already done so, you should DEFINITELY pre-order the game. Not only does it help support Etrian Odyssey game series but it helps to support the Atlus company itself. PRE-ORDER NOW!! Update: It seems that the update in the release date was an error by Gamestop. The release date, as officially stated by Atlus, remains June 17th. ...... *Re-updates everything*

So, I've kinda gotten behind on the updates released on the Official English EO2 Site. My apologies. Here we go! Let's catch up now, shall we! For wallpapers, we have added up three series. We now have the Hexer, War Magus, and the Medic wallpapers up for your viewing and downloading pleasure! - Check them out! Also, we have two new Etrian Odyssey II web comics!! As humorous and enjoyable as always. - Check them both out! Also released on the website was an avatar pack. These avatars are alot smaller than the ones we host here at ItL and since we have our own that we'd like everyone to us, we think we'll just keep them off this site and let it be one of those things you'll just have to get by going over there. Oh, and we also want to mention that Atlus is having yet another contest with even BIGGER prizes that you should all check out. The contest ends June 13! I'm debating on whether or not I want to try for this contest yet. Those prizes do look awefully good and there are prizes for second and third runners up.

So! I finally got my hands on the Nintendo Power June edition that was rumored to have a three page spread in it about Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard. Written by Casey Loe, the article is top notch but offers little to those who have already been following up on the game. However, there's no doubt that Loe did a wonderful job and NP magazine deserve the applause! If you are interested in reading the magazine article, I have it typed up and on display. - View the NP Article by Casey LoeOn to less important but equally great news, I finally got the Etrian Odyssey's maps of Floors 6-8 up onto the Map Status page. The Official English EO2 WebSite updated today. Along with twenty new screenshots, they placed up the official game trailer (available for download on our own server), and the labyrinth mapping simulation. Twenty new screenshots from the game have been added to our own gallery. This makes all fifty of the screens that we will see coming from the official website! So, be sure to enjoy them! - Click here to view the screens in our gallery. Also, we would like to remind anyone who hasn't about the importance of pre-ordering the game. While many of you might simply shrug it off and say "I'll purchase the game without pre-ordering" please remember how the Atlus game company works. A game's success and popularity, as well as how many are put into print, is based off how many copies have been pre-ordered! Please! Support Atlus anyway you can. At the top of this page we have a quick link to the Amazon.com with which Atlus has a partnership. However, you can also pre-order the game from any retailer that plans on supplying the game. In other news, don't be afraid to jump over and register at our forums. We are currently trying to get a Forum RPG put into the works and would like to hear all the feedback we can get! Thanks.

Etrian Odyssey II is out in a little over a month, so it's natural that many of the bigger gaming website out there are starting to get preview copies of this brilliant little title. As was updated on earlier this week, Nintendo Power have a three page spread regarding the title, and this media furore has been extended to two of the biggest gaming sites out there. IGN and 1-UP have both release their own previews of this title, and they're both coming back with an incredibly positive message. Quoth IGN: "Think of it like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon from a different perspective, trading in the pocket monsters and embracing far more depth. Battles are random though, and the game is punishing to say the least, so this one is for hardcore gamers only."This is only a small preview from IGN, but it's very positive considering how niche the title is. With 1-Up, they got a little further with their positive attitude: Quoth 1-UP: "seems to recapture everything that made the original so addictive...while switching things up just enough to keep fans on their toes."You can read IGN's preview here. You can read 1-UP's preview here. Which is a brilliant response to a sequel that initially only had a 30K circulation in the USA.

To celebrate Etrian Odyssey 2 nearly reaching shores across the United States of America, Atlus USA have decided to launch a writing competition. This competition is very similar to Interactive Fanfiction, or round robins as they are sometimes known as. Atlus provided us with a great example of how they're looking for things to be done: Poster A:"You see a bubbling brook. Your parched lips tremble from the promise of sweet, refreshing rejuvenation. What do you do?" Poster B:"You drink from the brook. As you rise from the ground, an FOE leaps out from in front of you. The creature has ambushed you!"So as you can tell, it's fairly simple really. You can find this second clip of the comic in our very own very own image gallery! Those monsters looks so kewl, though! Ugg, I dread to think of how tough they are going to be, though. Tch, seemingly harmless and some of them even a little cute.... -_-; And they'll all probably beat me up before I am done. Hrrm, but you know, on the subject of the War Magi... While I've had these loaded onto the forums for a while, I finally got around to adding them up onto their own page where you can download or link off of so that you can take them to other places. ItL Avatars and Buddy Icons. Unlike their forum counterparts, these have our site tag on them. PLEASE leave it on. We are wanting to help promote Etrian Odyssey and make it more popular! What better way than to lead people back here where they can learn far more about this wonderful gaming series. In the way of future content, I am working on a lot of Stratum 1 fact guides. One thing connects to another so I'm actually working on about three different content pages at one time. When it is completed you are going to see a little bit more to the Map Status completion guide and will get the guide for Item Points and Treasure. Please, just be patient with me. I am working as hard as I can on these. I am ALSO working on a page that lists all of the changes that appear in EO2. Expect that up sometime later today or tomorrow.

*Wipes away the sweat from her eyes* Okay! So, I went to work getting some things done up already. I finished up the Floor 5 map. Which means maybe I can get some stuff started and completed for Stratum 1 material. Or I might just hold off. I DID start on EO's "The Deluxe Item Compendium". Why deluxe? 'Cause I didn't just copy the silly Item Compendium from off of the game *rolls eyes*. You can find information on what monsters drop the item (and in some cases what move to use), the item point floor that you can get it from, how many you need to open up something in the shops, and for what quests you need to gather it. You know, the things you would like to know for an item when you are looking it up (plus some). If you notice any errors, please e-mail me and correct me. It isn't complete yet, though. Only the first stratum stuff and a few second stratum. I also updated the introduction page for EO2.

Max's ImpressionsDear God I'm so excited! The new game is coming! It's coming! I knew it would. Ugg, June 17th, though? That's so far away *pouts*. My birthday is June 2nd, too. It comes too late for me to ask for it from friends or family. Tch. Oh well, it will still be a very nice birthday present, haha. Remember to keep checking us for new media as it gets added to the official website. I will also get around to updating the Game Page ASAP with the new information. *Dances around* Also, to our forums I have added avatars to the gallery for all the characters from both games. I will be making a page with them all up so you can download them and use them freely where ever you want.

Thanks to all the hard work by Archaic, we now have a working and appropriately designed Coppermine gallery! We have turned off the default themes list. If you are already registered and are not seeing the new theme, please click on this link: http://intothelabyrinth.net/gallery/themes/itl/ . If this still does not work, please contact us either through e-mail or via forums. Key element of the gallery (and the gallery when it's done), you do not need to be on the main site in order to see if there is any important game news (so... should the game's license get announced, you will know no matter where you are on the site). Next: Our forums design! Woohoo!!

So, the launch day "could" have been better, but things went decently smooth. I went ahead and opened registration for everyone and made a few temporary boards. You may notice that if you view the Media Spot and click on the drop down theme menu you will see a theme labeled "itl". Please refrain from clicking it. However, if you do, you will get a preview of what the design for the gallery will look like. It is INCOMPLETE! It doesn't work and things are, noticeably, wrong. It will come together in time. Well, I'm off to bed. Good night, everyone, and thank you so much for your participation and I hope to look forward to a brilliant future for everyone!

Here we go! Welcome to Into the Labyrinth, the newest (and, currently, only) fansite for the game series Etrian Odyssey. At the moment, unfortunately, I'm afraid to admit that we aren't all with it. Because Archaic, our site technician, has been busy, we haven't gotten the layouts for the gallery and forums all set up. This, unfortunately, means that the forums are turned off. The gallery is viewable with default designs. The Network is not taking new user registrations at this time. Many apologies! We will have things up ASAP! More importantly, though, due to a LOT LOT of hard problems that thwarted all our efforts. We do not have a working Fan Fiction ItL database as we were hoping to have. Considering this, we have decided to go with the idea of having you post up fan fictions in the forums. If we develope enough of a demand for it, we will create a fan fiction database that will, unfortunately, be seperate from the main sign in. Any thoughts on this will be appreciated. Those issues aside, we decided to open up with a special feature that I was going to push back for later. As a sort of apology, be sure to check out one of our top features It's Mp3 Soundtrack Player. Our strategy guides are currently in developement. Since almost ALL of them are going to rely on maps, you will have to wait until I am done with all of them. You can view my map status in the EO links to the left and on its main page. While there will not be anything marked or listed, they can still be very helpful, no doubt.

Video #4 - #7 has been added to the viewer over at the left bar. Until the Trailers and Videos page has been added this is the only way to view them at the moment. Please bare with me as I struggle to create these pages ASAP. Video #4 is only a web preview that has been added on Atlusnet's own video viewer. Videos #5, 6, and 7 are all posted on the same site but are marked as airing television commercials. Remember, these videos are not loaded onto the ItL server, so loading times may be completely different.

All nine comics Sekaiju no Meikyuu 2 Developer Comics have been added to the Image Gallery. Like the first game's, these were penned by character artist Yuji Himukai. They are, as of yet, untranslated, and we are interested in anyone stepping forward with some sort of translation. Click the Read More button for a link to each comic in sequential order.
