Hmm...I never played much of the really old ones, as I wasn't really into RPGs as a kid. But I believe Etrian is most directly inspired by Wizardry. I'm glad you're enjoying it. My favorite hobby.

If you want to be able to play without running it, I'm still available to run a one-off game of Pathfinder on roll20. It would be a beginner thing so you don't need to know the rules.

actually, it's common behavior for crows to try to grab onto larger birds during flight, basically to wig them out and make them leave their territory
