Sands of Destruction
This caught my attention. Only heard about it now. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Destruction To sum it up; an RPG which is coming to America fall 2009 (at least according to Nintendo Power) where the premise is playing as terrorists ...

I think tanks are the most important class, though it's only fun to play in MMORPGs where you can piss off a lot of stuff and not die 'coz you have a bunch of healers. In most games, whether it's not a group environment or lacks a way of diverting threat, they just suck. I hate how Vikings can provo...

What's your favourite RPG archetype?
I just had this discussion with one of my Dokapon Kingdom groups. You know, when you play an RPG game, you say "Oh, I want that!" or "I wanna be one of those.". Sometimes it matches one personality, sometimes their desire, or just what they generally feel the most comfortable wit...

http://www.geocities.com/moonstone_jp/clichemeter.html http://www.geocities.com/moonstone_jp/cliche_villain.html I found these to be quite amusing. I keep punching in any of my character concepts I could recall from any point of time, just to see their score. Usually I get negatives but when I enter...

Sometimes when I think about level up systems, they seem pointless in many of the games today. If it's a linear style, they could have so much more control over the difficulty without some system that could make it too hard or too easy depending on ones preferences for playing a game. It usually end...

My preferences for all games are waning. I'm even starting to hate standard RPGs, especially turn-based. RPG elements in general are starting to seem pointlessly overdone and unecessary. This is serious 'coz I used to love RPGs. I think this is my mind telling me to try some other genres. I refuse t...
