@Reynard: I don't see how that's much different of a situation from other indoor-only house pets. (That statement should not be taken to imply that I approve of confining pets to any kind of small-ish space like a apartment or house. I prefer allowing pets the freedom to come and go when possible.) ...

And of course a lot of things are just cloud-based (much as I hate that term) now anyway, and not having local storage is generally not a problem.

What? Can't download anything?? Probably what was meant is that you can't save anything locally for later. Otherwise there's nothing you can do with the Internet connection and it's like you have a firewall that blocks all ingress traffic.
