Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads
Have you read The Stars My Destination by Alfred Bester? If you like sci-fi, it certainly fits the thought provoking, controversial and mixed emotions criteria. I loved it, anyway. Fair warning: you may not, but I absolutely hated the main character at the beginning of the book. But I think you're k...

Re: Games you are playing
Today I made it the farthest I've ever been in Metal Gear Solid 3 (which, admittedly, still isn't all that far). On normal mode, even! I decided I should play my old PS2 copy to get better at it so as to justify getting that spiffy new PS3 Legacy collection. My lord, the controls in this game are aw...

Re: What do you eat?
I made a delicious thing tonight! Sautéed finely chopped onion and minced garlic in some olive oil, added slices of mushroom and zucchini, then tossed in rice with vegetable stock and let it simmer until the rice cooked through. THEN, I mixed in some parmesan and freshly chopped thyme. Very, very ta...

Re: Dream land
I had a dream in which my roommate and I, along with two others, were trying to take a road trip to some town with a lake for a weekend getaway but instead we got pulled over and the lady cop was absolutely convinced we were the suspects for some unknown crime so she took us in for questioning. I ac...

Trance! If it helps (and it probably doesn't), at least you know that somewhere in the interwebs someone you don't know and hardly interact with (that would be a certain Trifkin) <3s you and would give you an enormous hug if given the opportunity.
EDIT:
That goes for all of you, by the way. <3

Because passive aggression is addictive, much easier to fall into than open communication and genuine understanding.

Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads
I love love loved Fahrenheit 451. It's on my ever-shifting list of favorites. I've only read one or two of Asimov's short stories, if that many. I used to have a lot of science fiction anthologies, so I'm really not sure. I intend to try the Foundation series one day. I am falling in love with Pengu...

Re: Games you are playing
I just finished watching my roommate play through the ending of The Last of Us. Such a well written game! So completely riveting. I'm not sure how I feel about the ending, though, as I wasn't around for all of the gameplay and subsequent plot points.

Re: Rant/Complain Thread: QQ moar
I don't like to eat in front of the TV. I used to. I grew up doing that and my roommate prefers to do so, so I go along with it, but when I'm on my own I like to focus on my meal. I enjoy it more and eat less. And if I'm eating with someone else I like to focus on the conversation that should be hap...
