OK, so it turns out what I wanted out of asura cultural armor wasn't what I wanted. I wanted that mechanical glove for 12 gold; turns out that's actually part of the chest, at 30 gold. On the plus side, I decided to just grab a bunch of exotic armor (not 80)for about 50-80 silver a piece. So...
