Sexuality is a defining trait? Assuming that was in response to me, maybe? It doesn't have to, but the fact that there are sexuality stereotypes means that either subconsciously or consciously people consider it to have some connotations to behavior and personal identity. And, adding on to that las...

You can prefer to appear straight and not want to be mistaken for gay even without taking homophobia into account. Like Maxine said, the feeling of false self doubt or the realization that people you know don't know you as well as you thought you did is more hurtful than anything else. But like I sa...

Iago from Othello is probably one of my favorite villains just because he's so manipulative and cunning...and that's that: he just is. You're given a quick "I'm a racist and the dude maybe slept with my wife that I hate or something," but it quite honestly doesn't matter. He goes around an...

*pat pat* I have hugged my one friend many times, now that I think about it. Her existence a few years ago pretty much fit the definition of Iron Woobie, although I only recently realized how bad she actually had it at the time. In some ways I am like the comic, (pale, introverted) and in some ways I'm not (know how not irritate people, don't go out of my way to be super nice to people). [spoiler]Actually, the only time in recent memory I have ever had some sort of romantic feelings toward someone (I know I'm still in high ...
