Re: Sexism Against Men
I did watch the video, despite it being from the Amazing Atheist. Being trained as a historian I like to look at the documents I am given before making judgement calls on the topics they address. This is a case where I already had an opinion, so I didn't really do that. For that I apologize. Now I w...

Re: Sexism Against Men
Everytime this conversation emerges in any context it is always a motherfucking train wreck.
But just to make this worse, and contribute to the absurdity of a room of men arguing about who is more oppressed or whatever, I definitely agree with Noodles.

Re: Why Are You Happy Today?
Kinda bummed, but also was happy. My best friend from home was driving down the coast this last week, so he took a few extra hours and came in to Oakland. So we drank and played video games and ate terribly for a the last 2 days. Wonderful time, its nice to feel a little bit like things are normal f...

Re: Why Are You Happy Today?
Some of my filmmaker friends (who are very capable and actually work in the industry) are kick starting a traditional werewolf short film and some person just donated $3000. I know stuff like this happens on Kickstarter all the time, but seeing it happen to friends on something I really want to get ...

Re: THREAD_NAME_GENERATOR: syntax error
Oh no! The sun is going down! I gotta get through the hood, to the liquor store, and back before the sun goes down or I will be dangerously low on beer!

Re: THREAD_NAME_GENERATOR: syntax error
Guys, I have a weird question: What the hell do I do with old text books? Like, ones that I probably won't be able to resell. Do I throw them out? Recycle them? Question mark? I've had this issue as well. I have either had to recycle them, use them for art projects, or hold on to them until a use a...

Re: What are you watching? (TV/Movies)
^I don't think you need to watch other stuff first. The Coen's were among the new generation of directors in the 90's who were noted cinephiles, so their work is highly referential, but you don't need to have a diverse knowledge of cinema to appreciate them. I would say that their movies are made in...

Re: What are you watching? (TV/Movies)
I watched The Bling Ring a few days ago. Why. Why did I watch that. Sophia Coppola makes 1 stylish, iffy, movie for every awesome movie she makes. Lost in Translation is one of my favorite movies ever. And if you spend a lot of time in hotels, as I do, it is even better. Then she made Marie Antoine...

Re: Why Are You Happy Today?
I live in a very nice space in a very safe place and have lots of freedom. This is good. I listen to very loud punk and get nearly drunk and its a lot like bedlam. This is good. I watch what I watch and I do what I do and its all very lovely, just not the same without you. (I am enjoying my living s...
