Re: What are you watching? (TV/Movies)

Saw Gatsby. It looked wonderful, and was entertaining, but it was by no means great.

Re: Rant/Complain Thread: QQ moar

Really the hardest part is deciding what parts you want. As I said, its certainly the most difficult part of the process, but I wouldn't really describe it as work. Then again I deal with computers for a living and I find my job very easy. So if my work is the "work" we're describing, and...

Re: Rant/Complain Thread: QQ moar

It'll be a lot of work, but I want some longevity from it, so... XP Its not actually a lot of work. Really the hardest part is deciding what parts you want. The actual assembly+OS install probably takes >5 hours tops if you're being careful. The inside of a computer is actually way less complicated...

It doesn't feel like it's overheating,s o I might need a new graphics card, which pisses me off. Why can't laptops be like desktops and let you replace parts? *groan* I needed a laptop for school and everything worked on it fine until it got wiped. I still dont own a laptop and I got all the way th...

Re: What are you watching? (TV/Movies)

I just got back from Iron Man 3. It's a better finish to a trilogy than TDKR was in my opinion. Less plotholes and just more my thing. The first Iron Man is still my favorite superhero movie though. TDKR was extremely bloated, the plot holes become glaringly obvious upon repeat viewings, and it was...

Re: What do you do for a living anyways?

Re: What do you do for a living anyways?

The most common terms are "quid" which means pound, (so twenty quid is £20), a fiver or a tenner (£5 or £10) and a grand, which is £1000. This always used to confuse people when my family moved to the States from Ireland, and I have no idea why. People in the US say "buck" as in...
